No. We are moving to Kent to be near family as my husband has retired from his job now. I do like Leigh-on-sea, but it is exciting to move to a new area.🤩6

A couple of good buys came my way yesterday afternoon.
A smart La Redoute cotton summer midi dress for £2.50, similar retail at c£65 full price (half price sale currently), and an aluminium iPad stand not dissimilar to this for £3:
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.9 -
I love the iPad stand!
I had a good day today. Long sleeve embroidered and beaded t shirt in immaculate condition for £2.50 . Heathcote and Ivory shea hand cream £1 and two metres of beautiful Laura Ashley Curtain fabric for £1.50. I am going to use it to make Roman blinds.6 -
Just back from a trip to Northumberland and on the way to a food shop called iinto the chazza shops in Northallerton. Picked up a felt handbag liner just the right size for a saggy Mulberry bag. £3 in the BHF shop. Also got 5 x crystal sundae glass dishes for £4 from the Sue Ryder shop. And, at last, got to call into the Yorkshire Cancer Shop! Really nice shop, beautifully presented and organised but didn’t find anything this time.
Notes from Northumberland:-
Alnwick has at least 7 chazza shops, mostly the big chains tho.
Seahouses has a teeny tiny Sue Ryder.
Berwick has several but not very inspiring.
Barter Books was a book lover’s wonderland but came away empty handed 😳
Grace Darling Museum in Seahouses was fascinating , (and free!)
National Glass Centre with glass blowing demo was brill, (also free)11 -
Still stocking up food-wise and got distracted on my way into Booths supermarket in Ripon by the RSPCA chazza. I seem to be into tartan at the mo….came away with an M & $ blazer for £8 🤭

Visited a couple of chazzers in a neighbouring town yesterday with some success.
Afibel is a brand that seems to have come into my life over the past week out of nowhere. I bought this heavy plastic coaster set for £1, can't see similar on the website but its being Fleabay'd for £5:
Secondly, a BNWT microwaveable plate for £2.50, retails at £12.99. It feels like metal and although the manufacturer has assured me it is microwave safe, they couldn't actually say what material it is made out of:
Finally, a random set of decorative pins from Barnardo's and a 2-play book for £1. Have wanted to read Arthur Miller (ex-husband of Marilyn Monroe) for a long time!
No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -
@Cherryfudge I was in Alnwick the week before last and was strong and avoided Barter Books and contented myself with a visit to Alnwick Castle instead. If anyone is interested there is a very reliable bus service from Newcastle Haymarket bus station to Alnwick. It’s a lovely bus ride for a bargain £2….. stops at various points in Alnwick including the bus station by Morrisons. Our local charity shops seems a bit bare and well picked over as usual.
I found this pin dish for £2, to remind me of the wonderful Wedgwood factory tour. It was fascinating seeing all of the skilled craftsmen and women in all of the stages of making a piece of Jasperware.9
