Don’t usually wear yellow tho but it just looked so cheerful. Also got an ice cream scoop and a ladle for 20p each and another trug for £3. Could not understand why so few sellers on such a glorious morning? Did you go @Cherryfudge? Are you going to the first Northallerton one tomorrow? Can’t make it myself as setting off for Northumberland shortly for a few days 😊I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I saw this thread featured on the ‘highlights’ of the week, have never visited it before. Now it’s my partner & daughter who are the charity shop fiends (partner volunteers in one, handy tip to get first dibs on stuff). Anyway my attention was drawn because on a quick trip to Morrisons to buy a lottery ticket partner can’t resist looking at charity outlet attached and was delighted to pick up an Orla Kiely scarf for £5. I mean probably has enough scarves to wear a different one every day of the year, but can’t resist one like this.11

My grandfather always loved bright yellow roses and pretty summer dresses. He commented it being a cheerful, carefree colour. He'd asked no one to wear black at his funeral, so most of the ladies attending showed up in every hue of yellow summer dresses, all of us carrying yellow roses - yellow always makes me think of him nowNo buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!11 -

Speaking of all things yellow, I bought a light summer knit similar to this the other day for £2. It would go with @Miro's dress perfectly!

I had a very successful trip to The Cornerstone early yesterday morning. I was looking for accessories to style my home as we are hoping to sell this year. I found five cushions with covers and 4 nice vases there as well as a brand new M&S loungewear set with tags and this all came to only £27!
The ladies in the shop said I was lucky as they had just had a lot of new stock in that weekend!8 -
Exciting @Wednesday2000 ! (The house sale I mean). Are you planning on staying local?
This whole week is a washout and it is really taking the edge off the summer. I was reflecting the other day, unless I need to cross past the Pets at Home retail park into Southend East and Rochford and the wilderness beyond, I avoid driving. For a trip to Cornerstone I would a) need to be driving in that direction anyway, and b) be making that journey before it closes at 3.30pm in the afternoons!
