Just called Argos to check what exactly was being delivered on Monday as the amount they debited out of my account did not coincide with the original total amount of my order.
:eek: No Roboreptiles on my order....
But,, I also ordered the baskets which they had on offer which were posted in another thread.
They were half price at £7.50 buy one get one free, but they had a glitch and if you entered quantity 3 the orice went down to £4.99 and if you entered quantity 6 the price went to £9.99
I ordered 6 lots at £9.99,
The wowan I spoke to as CS kept going on about how the price for the baskets was incorrect and asked why there were 6 lots. I told her I orderd 6 lots because I wanted 6 lots. she said that the price was wrong and should have been £45.00.
She said, im checking the website now and I can see they should come to £45.00
I told her that when I ordered the items and entered 6 lots, that the price that came up, and as they have already debited my account then there is nothing she can do, it wasnt my mistake it was thiers.
She said that once the order arrives she will have to put it to the finance department and they will then have to debit the balance...
IS THAT RIGHT???

If you've got an email confirming your order, and a debit on your card to match, then they've formed a contract with you and cannot now change that contract. imho.0 -
They never sent any confirmation email, they never sent any email to let me know that thr roboreptiles were out of stock.
All I have had is a phone call to confirm delivery on Monday and when I have checked my online banking statement they have debited the amount for the 6 lots of basket at a total price of £9.99 and delivery charge.
I always thought that if they have taken payment then they would have to complete the sale at that price even if the they made a mistake on thier site ??0 -
I managed to reserve one of the roboreptiles last night and I'm just about to jump on a bus and go an umpteen mile journey to see if I can collect at the web price I reserved it at. Fingers crossed, though my gut feeling isn't good about this one (or that may just be the coffee I've had).Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

People at c/s get told to try their best to get customers to pay if they do great if not nothing that they can do.I work in a catalogue company as c/s I know, just stay calm and to the point, dont argue or shout or swear.people were able to order £60 shoes for 00 we had to ring them to say there was a problem and they should pay and some paid and some said it our fault not thiers and they were allowed to keep them LOL.I was like dont give in... but I have do what managers tell us

When I checked all the stores around me online last night, the store I'm going to today was the only one with them in stock. So is it safe to presume that the item is at least for sure reserved?Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

yup, bubble burst

Went to the shop and put in my reservation number. The robo came up at £44.99, bu this is lower than the instore advertised price at £59.99 (reduced from £89.99). Gutted.Debt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:

spent late lastnight checking stock, managed to reserve a few,
Just got back from bracknel store, they entered the reservation number and said its £44.99, explained when I reserved the email confirmation stated £7.99.
Sent me over to the CS lady, checked it, said £44.99, she checked on another system and said, yes they went up last night from £7.99.
Checked with manager, and said it ok to let me have it at £7.99 :T
Couldnt believe it, I nearly didnt bother to wait at the CS Desk que.0 -
I have reservation numbers for Wokingham and Reading stores, if anyone lives local, pm me and ill mail you the reservation number.
These are held untill end of Saturday (tomorrow)
If you want these you will need to let me know tonight as I am away all day tomorrow..0
