Tried the quickpay first - showed £79.99 so went to CS, who called the manager, who said there was "a pricing error and that this should have been obvious because this was a 90% saving". I tried to bluff it and said that we'd bought things from Argos before that had been reduced by 75-80% so, no it wasn't obvious but he wasn't budging and said he reserved the right to remove it from sale at that price so I came away empty-handed.

No luck for me today Instore now £79.99 cam away empty handed, phoned storeline who informed me that I should have had it for £7.99, then phoned store manager still refused after consulting HO.

if you go through quick pay and get the £7.99, then the contract is formed and they cannot refuse to supply.
However I've just looked on the argos site and clicking on the "buy or reserve" brings up a "http 404 not found" so it looks like they've spotted it now and the game is over.

I got 1 yesterday, thanks to the OP. Not sure if it will be used as a prezzy or maybe keep it for me!

just spoke with argos customer service who told me that anyone who says they paid with quick pay is lying! (their words not mine, so dont shoot the messenger )

Basically they said they are aware of the error and are trying to sort it out and apoligised that is still on the website at this price, and that you don't have a snowballs chance in hell of gettting any argos store to honor the price.

Ah well back to bargain hunting.

hope i get this right first post. i reserved 2 roboreptiles on xmas day went to collect yesterday but forgot my reservation number, so whilst i was there the girl extended all reservations on roboreptile until 2nd jan. i went this morning with my reservation number and collected my 2. the sticker on them says should of bin 89.79 reduced to 42.10 even though they were 7.99. also the staff knew they were mis priced.

I've got a quickpay receipt from yesterday that says the cs person isn't fully aware of the facts. And I've got a Roboreptile to go with the receipt :rotfl: .

If argos want to tell me I've paid £79.99 for it, and no-one got it for less than this, then they'll be giving me £79.99 worth of vouchers when I take it for a refund without receipt will they? (not that I would do this, but...)
