The Knitter's delight is a really pretty pattern @PipneyJane. I look forward to seeing what colour you've chosen. It's a shame that those contrasting stitches have lost definition, but I would imagine they still show up because they're very distinctive.
You have an impressive list to accomplish in June, but we must all do our bit for the war effort. I have ground to a halt with creating things and am instead getting snowed under with mending, some of which is a bit daunting, so I need to push along with that.
Do you have the buttons for your shirt blouse? That would be my sticking point: 'I know I have them, but where did I put them?' I would very much like to see a picture once it's done please!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Wow! That's quite a list to finish off in a short time, @PipneyJane. They're all beautiful patterns though. I'm not an adventurous knitter at all. Socks are the only things I've knitted to wear recently, although I do have a crochet hexagon cardi waiting to be finished off!
I won't have enough of the pink yarn to make another doily, but I have some cream which should work if I do stripes. I'll let you know...
Thanks everyone for the encouragement.2025 Fashion on the ration

oh my word @PipneyJane - that is a list and a half. Cheering you on for the end of July.I have a small 'to be finished list' - probably mentioned before ... Rowan Fyne vest & Midwinter blanket, (still weaving in ends at Knit & Natter); also a learn 'how to' knit in the round/steeking practice project, (June Dickinson's 'I'm a little teapot' tea cosy).I do have an abandoned list- the brioche or maybe fisherman rib - possibly Pingouin patttern from eons ago, long since lost the pattern. I'm still looking for 'the perfect' fisherman rib sweater pattern;- a intarsia Patricia Roberts pattern 'Tarzan' from way back - whenupon I decided that I don't like doing intarsia.- an Edina Ronay cotton sweater - another intarsia, (see above for why it wasn't finished)!Fashion on the Ration 2025 27/666

I don't actually know how to sew knitting together because I never do it- I knit everything in the round and cut it up if needs be- far easier for me!!
I have a huge abnd gigantic To-Be-Finished list because I am dreadful at starting without finalising details- I have just unearthed a cardigan I paused because I hadn't actually decided if it should have short puffed sleeves or long sleeves... I have decided now to knit a fitted 3/4 sleeve and see how much yarn it uses, then if it goes how I hope it will, I shall knit the other and then do the mile of waist ribbing, cut it up the front and crochet on the buttonbands...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Those colours are lovely together, @MrsCD.
I've been reading an old thread, Lots more sneaky ways to save the pennies, which sent me down a rabbit hole and I thought I'd share it as a good way to use odds and ends of yarn or thread. For some reason I'd never heard of Dorset buttons, despite living there for a while, or of Singleton buttons, though I sort of knew the principle of those. Enjoy the link!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I know there will people on here who may be interested: Patrick Grant's book 'Less' is on Kindle Daily Deals for 99p today. Hardcover is £17 so there's a bit of a saving to be had, and you can download Kindle as an app if you don't have an e-reader.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Ooh thank you @Cherryfudge - I wouldn’t have spotted that. It’s on order at the library but who knows how long that will take.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.5

Many, many thanks @Cherryfudge for the heads up. Given that our library reservations are now £1.10 per book, I've just saved 11p! Hurrah!
