Hi, I'd love to join this.  Could you put me down for £16,000 so that's £160 per step.  I'm doing this to reduce debt, but to also cover some large payments this year, to avoid it becoming debt :)

After taking account my standard payments, it means I'll have to find/earn/save an additional £430 per month, so I'll also get back to the "Make £10 a day challenge" to help me along the way.
    Hi Hollie_Hobbie!

Welcome - sounds like a good plan. Me too, getting back on the £10 A Day!!  B)

Just sent my very first overpayment to my DMP.
Just did one step as overpayment. It’s a reward based token to myself - so I feel like the budgeting is working/worthwhile. Also tentative as I want to make sure I can afford to do up to 11 steps this month- aware of the lack of emergency funds atm. The overpayment pot I have left so it’s still has 205 in which could still be there towards the end of the month and then I’d of done 12 steps this month with that added. 🤞🏼 aiming high!
So glad you're feeling so positive and the plan is working out. I think that's a really good way to do it. Have to motivation to not spend it so you can pay it off without paying it off and then needing it and adding more credit back on. That's the biggest mistake I made before myself.

     o:)

Hi everyone! Great to have a little group of us together for this to give each other some support! Would definitely recommend the Make £10 A Day challenge to help you boost your income for those who can find some time to add some surveys/mystery shopping into their day!

I've managed 1 more step this morning, but following @BudgetingBelinda sensible approach and sitting on an emergency buffer so I don't run the risk of running out of cash and resorting to sticking the groceries onto a credit card!! Nope. That was old me. That's how I got into this mess!  :s

Thank goodness it's Friday... and another week closer to paypal! The horrors of January are getting real here!  :#

I have had my final CC repayment out today which I topped up by £8 to make 1 more Step today. That is definitely all I can do this month, but that is 10 Steps completed, so I'm made up with that  B)

This is a great way of looking at clearing the debt @CMD79. I always look at the percentage that I have cleared, but having little steps or icons that I can complete on a tracker would make this even better to motivate me.

I need to work out my steps approach a bit better, as I've split my debt free target into financial quarters, with a monetary value for each 3 month block. But I might revise that.

For now, my total debt is £9,000 = £90 for 1 step. I have paid £300 so far, so 3/100 steps.

Well done @CMD79 that's a great achievement this month.

I am checking in with 1 more step from top cashback payout. (13/100)

My V sales have nearly reached another step so will add that once it all clears 😊

I have just been offered a temporary contract until summer holiday for additional hours at my work of about 6hours a week. I also took another extra shift this week so thats 2 extra shifts done this week to make a bigger dent in the debt repayment when it comes through next month.
