  • I had no idea when I started Tilly Tidies that they would spread across MFW, let alone across boards to DFW

Those pennies definitely add up 💗

@Tilly_MFW_in_6_YRS who knows where this will end up  ;) Nice to meet you.

It is not as busy as some boards but we are here plodding away hopefully people are just doing their thing in the background and managing to make it work to get things done with the pennies. These times are driving us into this situation yet we can still get good results from small actions. There are people who are becoming more aware and this is an easy place to start. I am pleased to see that some banks are now actually helping people do small actions like this.

    Morning Tilly Peeps,

Hope you are all well and managing to keep these small bits moving together to help in any way they can. As Christmas is looming remember to try and save those bits of left over pennies and odd pounds if you can after your purchases.

For those with little ones who have out grown some clothes or toys are some able to recycle some money? This can help you and others too. I am aware that charities are after toys too right now if you are able to donate too.
Children don't mind if an item doesn't come in a box, it's easier to access for them and saves having extra waste for recycling too  ;)

I'm currently at 38.21 for the month. Not sure where I will be putting it just yet but probably the butchers shop as we are having family for Christmas at ours. The veg will be cheaper later so no need to prepare much for that bill.

    Hi All,
I've not been around much this month, had a holiday and some RL stuff that decided to make itself a pain in the posterior 🤬
Anyway, 😉 its the end of the month and have tidied my various accounts up ready to start again in November and the tidy up total comes in at a whopping £242.36, so that's all off to various saving pots and towards debt reductions

@Divingmad well done on the numbers even after a holiday.

I have moved £33 this month into my ISA trying to get that built up some. Other pots are building up nicely to the point I now (like for Christmas ) select a limit and when that gets full I move what would have gone in there into a different one. Basically snowballing the savings  ;) We have now also got to a balance on the "bills only bank account" where we are at 12 months payments. It has taken 4 years to get to this point. The same will apply to this account too I will be moving that excess to elsewhere just not decided where to put it at this time.

Well I had an unexpected bit to Tilly away as I had made a complaint about not being able to use my Nat West card to make payment for house insurance with the Nationwide. It turns out the banks aren't "talking to each other" so had to mess about moving money around into Nationwide account and make the payment. I don't do auto renewal or DD for my bills. My money and I'm in charge of it. It turns out was worth the faff as I have been offered £40 for the inconvenience.  B) Thankyou for that.
