@Toni'sfriend It's amazing how uplifting a trip to the hairdresser can be, and what a great idea to keep it under control by visiting more frequently. Glad to hear your DH is looking after you so well xx
@Starlight_at_Sea Good to hear you are feeling more positive, you've had so much to deal with and it's great to hear you are planning ahead xx
@Thrifty_Taylor Oof, an early start for you indeed, especially as you had an "energetic" pupil yesterday! I always worry like crazy when any of my four are flying anywherexx

Friday was not as productive as Thursday but still good. Washing out on the line - not sure if it will dry but it's not in the house. Collected empty carrier bags - 9 good ones Kondo folded, dirty and ripped ones quartered and put to one side (later used the 2 ripped ones to extra wrap a broken bowl which then nested inside a full bin bag. All food from stores. 'Food' delivery arrived - they had a better price on diet coke but don't stock the caffeine free, made it up to the free delivery amount with household (bin bags and toilet cleaner) and a few more deli items (I have rolls, I have salad.
Recycling to the bins and tackled a nasty bit of floor. One bin bag successfully deposited in the one I weighted with bricks the day before. Found Halloween sweets and gave them to next door's grandson (asked his mum if he could have them). They'd obviously bought them to hand out (some gone) and then the pack had fallen down/ behind other things. This is why I sometimes root about in forgotten corners.
No films or series watched (intermittent wifi making things difficult) but have found some I started a while ago.
Grateful for easy food, books, getting lots done whilst spending ample resting time on the couch. About half the dried pots went away in a high cupboard (all mine, all listed) but my aching (pot scrubbing) arm wouldn't let me do any more. No more pots for the same reason, but the WM was reloaded and set off.9 -
I am stripping paint, it is as much fun as it sounds.Did paint the new bedroom again, it is now looking good, the plasterers should be coming on Monday to finish off the last wall, then the scaffold can come down and the washing line can go back up.In readiness for the momentous line recommencing its journey, I swept the yard, rescued and replanted some nasturtium seeds that had wilted on the vine, and cleared up the rest of the pots and bistro furniture. It is going to look good out there this year! I am determined to make it so. Nobody else is going to do it, so if I want it done, I will have to pull up my big girl pants and do it myself. Rah! It is my house.Best get back to my slimey gel.

Went a riverside walk in a local town and fed the birds and squirrels. They are such characters. Glad to be out in the sunshine for a bit and to get some steps in.
Called at Gr*ggs to get 2 bakes for our breakfast and had enough points to get 1 of them for free.
Topped the car up with fuel as it was down to quarter-full. Don't like to let it get too low as I live out in the countryside.
Helped mum dismantle the artificial Christmas tree (so many individual branches!) and boxed it up so my son can put it in the loft tomorrow when he visits.
No NSD today so still on 2.
Jacket potatoes, tuna and salad for tea as it was quick and easy and we were tired. Niece came over with her toddler and decided to empty her huge car as there had been a bad leak into the boot and everything was soaked and stinking. So many clothes, shoes, padded coats and towels for us to wash and dry as her 85 year old Gran cannot say no and I turned up as the WM was doing the 2nd huge load. No wonder our utilities are so high as this happens at least once a week. Heating was roaring away, back door was open so vacuum could be plugged in to vac her car out and her dog had jumped all over the sofa with muddy feet. Sometimes it would be really nice if she just came over to see us for tea and cake and didn't want anything doing. Rant over for the time being.
Got loads to do to get ready for my German friend and her son coming over for a week in Feb but we were too shattered after we'd tidied up today.
Grateful for sunshine, seeing wild animals and birds close up, an easy tea and a sit down! X

Still on NSD 7 since Thursday. Yesterday I booked train tickets to London for our wee trip in a few month’s time and today was not only grocery delivery day but we went to CostKo for a bulk buy of toilet rolls, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, vitamins, hand-wash refills, spices, and toothpaste. And a new 24-piece dining set because our current one has seen better days and has dwindled in number over the years. Will donate old set to CS. We managed to get through without coming home with a canoe. We saved for the visit because it’s never just a few quid.
Grateful for having a warm home, for a supportive family, and for having all the essentials we need.

NSD today for me, which takes me to 3. Didn't do much other than housework and take the eldest out to a park.
Tbh, it's been a rough week but some gratitude:
1) Pret chocolate croissants (had one yesterday)
2) Knowing how to ride a bike
3) Slightly longer evenings10 -
Wotcha turtles! Not sure how long it's been since I last posted (I bet f0xh0les will know...) It's been a week of ups and downs. But today is an up- it's pip's b'day and I somehow have a 16 year old! He's had a good day and seems to have enjoyed it, which is a good thing.Today I am grateful for Pip enjoying the day, for some good Ch shop purchases (pip's choice of activity!), for seeing my friends at the gym, for getting some washing done, for dh always doing the washing up.

Been busy cleaning. Missionaries came today and started cleaning out my backyard. Did a great job already. Filled one waste bin and after it is emptied on Tuesday, I will refill it again. And I have cleaned the sink and toilet in one bathroom. Roommate G cleaned the mirror for me. The room s almost totally cleaned now. Also did some major cleaning in the kitchen. Still have a lot more to go but making progress. Roommate G helped for about an hour. Two bags of trash and one large basket of recycling out.
Only problems right now are health - one leg giving up on me. Bad neuropathy. Foot went to sleep while I was standing up. Hurts in the best of times - but worse today. The other is the big cat who has decided to shred the box he has been sleeping in and is throwing little pieces of the box all over the room. He is really roommate D's cat, but waiting for her to clean it up is like waiting for the Fairy Cleaning Service to come and make everything in the house clean -not going to happen.
Was able to start work on three major frogs this week. Maybe will have them under control by the end of the week, and then I can relax a bit.
Take care with the weather. Watch out for ice and cold and too much water. Hugs to all.13 -
Declaring 6 NSD's today as I'm staying home and not spending online either. I'm aiming for 10 NSD's this month, any extra will be a bonus. Today will mostly be filled with changing and laundering bed linen, such fun!7
