We needed a couple of extra ingredients for dinner tonight so I lost my NSD to a bulb of garlic and poppadoms.
I didn’t sleep well last night (negative chatty mind that wouldn’t shut up for around 3 hours). Finally fell asleep and was woken by OH going to the gym at 5.30am. Dozed in and out of sleep until 8am when DS came into the room. I dozed off on the couch this afternoon for half an hour. Really looking forward to my bed tonight.Grateful for OH encouraging us all to get out of the house and go to the pool, for a good shower after the pool/jacuzzi/steam room, for OH making dinner, and for games after dinner with DS. I recently stripped his toy box bare (in consultation with him). Everything else is stored away just now. We’re rotating things because he has too much stuff and sometimes utters the biggest lie in life, “I’m bored. I have nothing to do.” The stripped back toy box seems to be working much better for him.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸12 -
Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep, for a phone call with CAMHS, for pip having a lovely time with a friend, for pip regaining some appetite, for DH making tea, for good coffee.

Today I had two Trades turning up and do stuff (one super fast, one really, really slow) I should hopefully only have to see them again one more time next week. I am sick of them, sick of having to be up, fed, and presentable for 7am, just for them not to turn up. But they might turn up, so you have to do the same thing, day after day, because they say they will be back tomorrow. Today was day 51, and the 20th day of anyone being in the house. Grrrr!Anyway, I have laid 2/3rds of the loft with insulation roll tonight. Will do the rest tomorrow morning. Have woodworm treated DS3s bedroom floor as he is in London tonight with DH, and will not be sleeping in there - it is a preventative measure before new carpets go down. It will make me feel better to know I have done it.All food from stores (despite DS4s efforts) and a pantry-lurker ys tin of new potatoes got roasted - one exploded! danger cooking.NSD 1 I think. Ice cream has been eaten, bananas have been shaken, nothing has been wasted.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Gosh that is a long haul @f0xh0les, I admire you being up and ready for them. We had a large and long running renovation done about a decade ago, and were very lucky to have a fantastic family firm of builders who were good friends with some friends of mine. I was working funny shifts then and had to try to sleep during their working day sometimes, they had a key to come in and get on, and I'd leave a note by the kettle (which was relocated to various places as our temporary kitchen facility moved around the house!) saying when I planned to try to sleep until. They'd do their best to make sure hot water was available around then and quite often there was a hot cuppa waiting outside my bedroom door! I don't think I will have such a positive builder-come-butler experience again!
Back to the present, and as nobody is bringing me cups of anything, but I needed a little tlc, I took myself out for a takeaway very healthy soup from a cafe by the beach, and got my shot of veggies that way, plus some sunlight and a brief point of connection with the outside world!
Today has been mainly sorting out a family project and doing a couple of favours out and about for friends at the same time, which - post the soup - felt more like fun than a chore. It got me moving anyway, though I needed to come back to bed for a rest afterwards. This cold just keeps dying down then rearing up again!
Sorted out a pile of paperwork at my place, where I am not yet quite living. Didn't find what I was looking for, but did locate a couple of gift vouchers the local cafe that I won in raffle recently (unfortunately this occurred after the soup had been purchased, but will cover 4 more portions in the future!).
A few more steps takem towards mastering the bank accounts and new online mortgage system, so the picture is becoming clearer, but I need to do some faffing around resetting access for the last accounts.
Grateful for some healthy portions of food in the freezer that worked well for dinner tonight;
That the lurgy is leaving me, slowly but surely;
That a friend mentioned a discount scheme linked to my work, and I have now done all bar the final step of registering with it.
That I have made some progress in balance transferring a significant proportion of cc debt to interest free, and/or paying it off. Payments are yet to show up in the online totals, but it should make me wince much less by early next week.10 -
Evening everyone 🌘
A good night's sleep last and I felt on top of the World today. I had a day pretty much to myself, aside from hitting the gym. Got to 22:30 as a NSD then realised I was out of Huel so put an order in for that. I will have to make a concerted effort next week to accrue some NSDs. Done meal prep for next week so should be very do-able.
It's mortgage reapplication time... My bank offering 4.71% fixed over 5 years. Not sure if this is a good deal - will see what our very own Martin Lewis has to say! Have no idea what interest predictions are for this year let alone beyond. It was 2.71% when I first took it out 😒 haha.
Today I am grateful for:
1) A productive day
2) My energy levels being restored
3) My new course starting!!!
Today was a spend day
NSD total = 1 *still*
Night for now x

Spent yesterday helping friend with family history. Took me out for lunch afterward. Very good. Didn't have to go to the FamilySearch Center last night as we have switched nights as I can't drive at night any more. So was NSD3 this year. Had paid most of my bills on Wednesday and did shopping then, and didn't expect to go shopping for a few more days. But took roommate G to his doctor this morning and he wanted to go to the supermarket after. Found a few good deals, saved 25% plus and got things that were on my list.
While sitting waiting for G, worked on my 24 in 2024 list. Need to find out how other people keep track, especially if each item listed includes 24 smaller steps to do. Right now I have started a file in Excel. But may become confusing as the year progresses.
Been worried about those in the areas with flooding. Hugs to all of you.

Hi All, today I am grateful this fell into my notifications box

its a free 30 days flow yoga series. I can do this, I will show up.
As I am currently trying to make every hour count, I already had a chat with sister who has a broken shoulder, fed dog, did my yoga and am on to house work in a bit. C tree is actually coming down today.
No spending planned this weekend, except a shop for next week.
DS2 is going back to uni today, a bit sad and a bit overdue.
Ds1 is happy in new job.
Have a good weekend.
Edit just looked at drone photos of our overflowing river, no use to try and go for an off road walk or run this weekend! they are all covered. Only a few actual roads and houses flooded at this point. A bit wild though, but not like the hard hit areas further north.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
