2024 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD

Hello all, just trying to tie up some loose ends before joining the new thread. I was up and at 'em early this morning so that DH could see the vampire nurse at the hospital. I as usual rode shotgun and it seems our hospitals are back to mask wearing because of the flu. I had read about it so I went prepared in case they didn't provide them but the masks were piled up ready and waiting. Back home now and having a coffee before I do something as lots of stuff needs sorting/putting away, our presents are still in their xmas bags in the spare room !
Out this week an empty chocolate box so the diet has gone again ! Also a chipped glass, don't know how or when that happened. The fridge has been sorted and cleaned out and a lot of food has gone in the freezer, well what was left after the DGC had been and ransacked the xmas food.
I'm hoping for a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year for everyone. Thank you for your company in 2024 and extra thanks to MrsSD for keeping up morale and all her excellent cheerleading.
See you all on the new shiny thread ! Hugs to all

trying to continue on to the bitter (!) end by picking up a bit of clutter off any flat surface I pass. It just needs to be 1 bit, not an attempt to clear an entire table in one go. And I think today is when the last bit of turkey and ham will be chucked - it should have been dealt with a couple of days back and I don't think it's worth our health to be too frugal about it. And hoping to resist buying anything else that will go in the freezer until some of what we've got is truly gone.
And more thanks to Mrs SD. And I'll see everyone in the new year assuming I don't post again here!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Airer is massive! and very sturdy, even I would have trouble breaking this one.
At last the kitchen cupboard tidy up is done and everything has a home. Cupboards to be revisited next year for a clean and a cull. I went through the spare bedroom which tbh doesn't take long. I put some toys away in the old opticians cabinet that don't fit in the toy drawer in the living room. Spare bedding and 3 towels are all keepers in the drawers. There are some pictures on the bed waiting for DD1 to help me make a picture wall in there. She is in Scotland atm.
The birthday gifts and next Christmas gifts bought in the sales added to the wrapping paper drawer. I made a food hamper for Mum, it is her Birthday in January. She loves all the rich foods from Christmas, mince pies,Christmas pudding, Christmas cake etc. It's a good job I bought prior to Christmas as it's slim pickings for reduced Christmas things at the supermarkets iv'e been to.
Just put some elderly grapes on the wall opposite the house for the birds. Atm a robin and a squirrel are enjoying them.
Thank you all for your company this year, let's do it all again next year but with fewer difficult times and more sunshine,
Vxxx

Finishing the year with a move around of the second bedroom. I have listed a load of stuff, including some for fantasy me, on olio. If they aren't picked up I'll drop them off at the charity shop in a couple of weeks.
Also listed a dozen items on v!nted and sold and posted a couple. Hopefully I'll sell the rest, but if not they can go to the charity shop as well.
Have reviewed my goals for this year, and it's a mixed bag. Not quite kept to one in one out, and have spent a decent amount upgrading my wardrobe, but I won't need anything new this coming year unless something is only have one of wears out.
Have worked through condiments, although still in progress, but not bought anymore other than the normal ones we eat regularly.
Many thanks to Mrs Salad dodger for running this thread, and everyone who contributes.
I'm going to move over to the new thread and think about my goals for 2025.
Hope everyone has a lovely, calm New Year and a better 2025 than 2024!12 -
Sorry to hear about MrF. Hope he’s improving. We had V & D on Christmas Day. Not too much food wasted, as luckily we didn’t buy a lot. Neither of us feeling 100% still, so a quiet New Year in order. Wow that’s a monster airer Vulpix! Warm wishes to all of you for a peaceful and fulfilled 2025. Thank you all for your support it’s meant a lot. Special thanks to Mrs SD. You are a superstar 🌟 See you all on the new thread10

@vulpix
I've spotted the problem with your airers!!! It's currently lurking underneath but I bet there are times the fluffmonster is sleeping draped across some laundry enjoying the raising damp heat!!! Caught one of mine doing that a few times!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Good evening. I hope MrF is on the mend now Florenceem.
Yesterday DD3F went through their clothes and bought down a pile for the charity bag. Not counted yet as not actually left the house. There was a branded jumper still with tags on that mum had brought them and they didn't like so said we would try that on vinted but cant I find it anywhere to find how much to even put it on at. It's got a price tag but also an outlet tag that has the price removed, I'll see what it recommends when listing.
Today we have said goodbye to dog2. She'd had enough and wasn't even moving to eat and drink. We have decluttered a towel and blanket with her to keep her warm.
A huge thank you too Mrs SD for keeping us all on track with your amazing Cheerleading. I'll be following over to the 2025 thread later.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
Mortgage@1 June 18 - £76350
Total debt @june 18 £102311

Sorry to hear about dog2 charlies_tribe.
Silly pup.
