Decluttered lots of trimmings and weeds from DS’s garden together with the fence we took down on Thursday. A car full despatched to the tip. Raining here today, so glad we did it yesterday. Although my back and knee are not quite so enthusiastic 😂. Tidying lots of stuff around so that deccies can go up next weekend. Although it’s now so nice and tidy it’s a shame to clutter it up with Xmas fripperies.🎄 I’ll love it when it’s done. Ahhh so sorry @London_1. I feel your family’s pain. As a long-time dog owner for many years, I believe it’s part of the deal to know when “it’s time”, but it never gets any easier to make that decision. It breaks your heart every time. Good that the boys got to say goodbye. What a blessing to have FaceTime. Take good care all of you13

So sad to read of your daughter’s dog JackieO. They are such plucky souls and keep going as long as they possibly can. It is the greatest kindness we can give them but is so hard to bear every time. Lots of hugs for you and your family xx13

December 1st. DH went into the Attic for the plastic box of the Christmas cards we bought in the sales last January.
I found a box of nice Christmas crackers which can go to DD, and the box of plastic crib figures which can go to the charity shop a.s.a.p.
I think it is the start of a reverse Advent calendar.15 -
So sad about the doggy, JackieO. We have had two dogs and two cats PTS in the last few years and it never gets any easier. They are so much a part of the family. Take care. Sending lots of (((hugs))).13

More hugs JackieO. I hate that pets become so much a part of us that it hurts when they go.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Look up dogs never die, they are sleeping in your heart- it explains the crushing pain of parting with pets

Thanks for everyone's good wishes. I've been nursing DD 24-7 and she's finally perked right up today and is currently trying to eat her body weight in food! So pretty much back to normal now. Will figure out if I think she's ok enough to go to nursery tomorrow, but if not I'm not working anyway. If she does, then I will throw myself into the big pile of baking and cooking I had planned to do as well as an enormous amount of washing.@vulpix I love all the furniture you post so much. Please never tell me where you live as I might move in permanently
I escaped the house for an hour today (simply for my sanity as I have been nursing DD day and night and not been doing anything else) and popped to an antiques shop. It's a huge place that's an odd mix of true antiques, non-antique nice second hand things and some new style stuff that looks antique. It is a bit like walking through a hoarder's paradise and often you end up moving things to get to other things. It's brilliant though and you never know what you might find in there. Today I walked away with an amazing like new book for DD (all about animals in the night and the day - for the night pages you turn off the lights and the page glows in the dark!), a lovely 1970's small rattan circular basket I plan to store some extra bathroom stuff in and a set of vintage looking small 9 drawer cabinet. The cabinet reminded me of your index card drawers as the style is very similar. It's part of my reorganisation in the kitchen and I plan to use it for the little random things you have when you do lots of baking... cookie cutters, cake toppers, cake candles etc. Hopefully this will ease the room in my baking cupboard a bit.
A few more things to report for decluttering. Hoping next week I can make a start on the freezer and kitchen diner organisation, although I am planning to do the latter in very small bursts to avoid ever making a big mess or being tempted to go out and buy lots of things!Digital:

It will be making a reappearance though in my 2025 goals. I am currently using a face cleanser bar that realistically I never use as a soap to use it all up completely, so I've not forgotten to use things up yet!@London_1 Just sending hugs. I remember how horrible it is to lose a pet.Better go and see if I can shoehorn DD away from stuffing her face and get her to bed. Then I can go as well as I'm exhausted...2025 decluttering: 3,984🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

After my parents dropped off 5 boxes of 'stuff' I left behind when I moved to uni, I have sorted through and tentatively kept around 2/3 of a box.
The rest has gone on olio along with some other bits, and 80% has already gone, with almost everything else requested. One small storage cabinet almost empty and once I've found where the last few contents new home is, I'll put that up as well.
I feel as though the house is getting cluttered regularly, but I'm not really sure why, so need to think about if I need to parents down some more13
