Can’t sleep so figured I’d post an update (maybe bore myself to sleep 😂😂).
Since I last posted I went through some boxes of mine that had some kitchen stuff with DB1, we picked out some items to keep and then I offered the remainder if wanted to my other two brothers. DB2 has been through and taken about a third of the remaining stuff. DB3 has not responded whether he’s interested but my nephew is poorly atm so will give some time for that before I chase for a response. Whatever’s left over I’m intending to take to charity shop or possibly donate to local food bank charity for their use (or for them to distribute).
We’ve also sorted out a couple of football related items of Mum’s to pass onto her brother who DB1 and I are visiting tomorrow-he supports that particular football club so hopefully will be happy with those items.
Also I had a small bag of unwanted 4-ply wool which I donated to a local craft shop for use at their knitting and crocheting groups.
DB1 and I have booked a slot at our local tip this Friday so hoping to sort out a few other bits to get rid of there. I need to empty Mum’s clothes out of her chest of drawers which is buckled and drawers don’t open properly, so will bag them up tomorrow probably so the drawers can be broken down ready to go in my car. My DSIL1 has asked for Mum’s clothes to get some memory bears made so will distribute the clothes to her at some point over the next few weeks.Think that’s most of what’s gone over the last few weeks. Still a million and one things to go through, but taking it slowly, and restricted with some things as need DB2 and DB3s input before we can go through some bits. Am mainly trying to clear some of my own rubbish at the moment tbh.
Sending gentle hugs to all who need them.19 -

5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
So much for coming back after a single cuppa 😉 Several cuppas later & I have finished knitting the wrist warmers (not yet sewn up) & started knitting the matching scarf. DH did an initial collection of leaves just before the rain started. Dinner was fish fingers, fries & baked beans. Wudupa

Liverpool_Anne, crikey you were busy on Monday 👏 you gave Florenceem a run for her money 😉 I do hope the gas engineer managed to sort out the smart meter & no further visits are required 🤞Lovely words for Florenceem 🥹 I do think that Florenceem forgets what a very special person she is, so anything we can say to remind her is good 😊
Excellent work with the tat from the car vulpix 👏 This “Me n Mr V have only been married 15 years, so his training is still in the early stages!” had me laughing like a drain 🤣 Lovely post & I do hope you enjoyed craft club 😊
Excellent work Duchess2 👏 Fingers crossed you had enough energy to do a few bits & pieces in the afternoon 😉🤞
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏

Hi all, reasonable day yesterday. The gas engineer came and changed both the electric meter and the gas meter and set up the new smart meter. He was here over 2 hours and we ended up having a good chat about football while he worked
. I did have a minor panic as he told me he would have to check the boiler, gas fire and cooker before he left. So panic stations to clear the carp from in front of the boiler cupboard, the carp from in front of the gas fire, (which hadn't been used for a long while) and the shame of the kitchen had to be shared
. I apologised for him having to deal with all the mess but he was very nice and I said he had made my day with the football chat and he said he had enjoyed the chat as well
. 2 LDFPA from the maiden and the load on the line was mostly dried so another load swishing today and we will be able to get that on the line to part dry and onto the maiden later as no rain forecast here. I took the opportunity of having cleared the carp from in front of the fire to give it a clean so that whole area looks much better and another rag into the bin
and a few more spiders frightened
. I sorted out the passport things for the children in Germany which was reasonably easy but still a bit stressful, I find all this gov online stuff a bit stressful
. As I was on the laptop I had a sort through some emails and deleted 200. I also topped up the bird feeders as they were quite low but I have just about uu all the bird food so I will have to put that on the shopping list. I didn't get through my list yesterday so I will try to get at least some of it done today
top of the list is the kitchen
. I have the footy tonight
@Vulpix I might try to get to the agricultural show in Penrith but not sure OH will want to go. The knees are creaking and the physio has diagnosed arthritis and suggested strong painkillers which OH can't take, due to other meds OH is only allowed paracetamol. The physio sent an email of exercises to do and OH said if I could do them I wouldn't need physio. I am going to gently push for OH to try to get a scan on the knees so we can get an idea of what is actually happening but all suggestions of this type have been resisted in the past.
Glad you have sorted out the meds, it's such a pain when they are out of sync and it feels like you are constantly visiting either the Dr for repeats or going to the pharmacy to collect stuff and well done on getting Mr V to sort out the car gubbings. I did offer OH box files or normal files to sort out the driving stuff but not taken up so as I said not my circus
Hope you have a nice time with your visitors
@Mrs SD thank you for my gold 🌟, greatfully received and one day I will get my act together and sort my signature out so I can display it
@Duchess2 glad you are finally feeling a bit better
@Rootle ex work papers are a pain, 2 years after retirement I still find the odd bit
@Florenceem glad you are thinking about your craft work and everything crossed your back is ok
@London_1 you are so close to being sorted now you must be getting excited
@Betharooni it's always hard sorting through other people's things, hugs
Right I need to get weaving and sort out something, anything. Hugs to everyone who would like one.

We have been back and forth to the vet with our little cat the past couple of weeks. We thought she would have to be put to sleep as she was so ill, but she seems to have improved. I was about to cancel the vet appointment for tomorrow, but she has just vomited so I will have to wait and see again. This happened last year and I thought she would have to be put to sleep, but she pulled through so I'm hoping it will happen again this time too.
We decided to move our downstairs living rooms around (again!) yesterday and I think we have finally found a much better arrangement. We now have our main living room in the room next to the kitchen and so it is easier to let my dog out to the garden and we have let our cats have the other downstairs room. My other cat can't get in and out of the litter tray anymore so we had to use a big plastic box instead and then they can both sleep in their beds in peace without my dog bothering them. I have bought the rugs downstairs to make it feel more cosy and it looks quite nice. I have decluttered lots of dust and cloths into the bin after moving the furniture and deep cleaning the rooms.
I'm thinking about putting the xmas tree up on the 1st December. There is a stall near me selling real xmas trees and I might be tempted to buy a small one. I'm always worried my dog will eat a stray needle. I'm sure I say this same thing every year! I'm always dithering whether to buy one.

Popping in before I need to pick up DS from school. I have filled the tlc carriage up with hm wholemeal bread and jam biscuits.Still slightly recluttering here from charity shop finds and my local Buy Nothing. I'm trying hard not to get back to what I had before though and I do question every purchase/pick up I make and will eject anything that isn't being used. It is mostly kitchen stuff so far and I do still need to rearrange the kitchen diner to make it work better for me since I spend so much time in it! It will be a very slow process though whilst I figure out what I actually need. I did buy myself a large tin container for bread flour that will live on the side of the kitchen as the glass jar is too small and definitely too heavy to lug to the zero waste shop. I absolutely love it and am considering buying myself one more for plain flour as well. I don't mind it being on the side too much as I use it multiple times a week. It could possibly live in the dining room end though if I get myself sorted at that side - I'm currently deliberating on what I need.I've also offered to help my neighbour declutter/sort her mum's house as she's moving into her house in the next month of so and apparently it's a proper hoarder's paradise. She's doing it all on her own, which must be a nightmare and very stressful. It took me years to sort out my house and it wasn't that bad. Given I finish work on Friday, I should have some spare time.Anyway, going to stop waffling on and declare my short list of decluttering for this week.Digital:

Got rid of a ton of packaging and wrapping paper waste as I have been wrapping Christmas gifts over the last two days. I have not only all our to do but also gifts for all the people who help my mum. While I was wrapping, the amazing and wonderful man I married did all the washing and cooked a delicious roast dinner for us. I am totally spoilt. Got all the washing dried and five boxes packed with gifts that have to be posted. Had to buy some cardboard boxes as I don’t have any big enough for the next batch that need to be posted. Nice that everything is going out finally, I can now see most of the bedroom floor!Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Today was friendship/lunch club which I missed last week due to being in A&E. Very busy morning - sorting donations and answering the door.
We are getting lots of toy donations - people are sorting out ready for new toys at Christmas. Unfortunately second hand toys do not go well at our table top sales. I was going to put a table outside full of toys but it was too windy.
My friend's husband bagged up the clothes in the ransacked crate so that was a big help.
I delivered a dinner and pudding to an elderly person.
I next carried our dinners home and then went back to SA.
I was asked for bed linen and bath towels by one of our Ukrainian friends so that was another job I did.
I came home and ministered to the invalid. Mr F came downstairs to eat his dinner and straight back upstairs.
I searched for sold items - found the missing one from yesterday but there are 3 things from new sales still to find.
Went to singing group - we have now practiced 4 Christmas carols for a visit to a residential unit.
Sales on V yesterday were £49.
Today V sales are £27.
Must get on and advertise the table top sale on social media.

Evening everyone
I've had a good day. Decluttered my FT job at midday and went out for lunch with colleagues from my PT role then had the afternoon off
Yesterday I was at my PT job and I took a file of paperwork that I need to keep, to store in our cupboard in the village hall. Today DD1 has sold a handbag of mine on V and I've donated 2 bags to the CS. This week I've also decluttered my scrubby garden and some ££££s and now my back garden is looking tidy and nice!
Love to all

Hi, A grand time was had this morning, they brought their 2 sausage dogs which my cats were very unimpressed with.
We went out this afternoon to buy hairpin legs for the card index drawers from my Mum's. Mr V put the legs on whilst I made tea. It has made a nice side table. Whilst out we had a walk around Ashbourne which is always nice. Lovely sun set on the way home.
LiverpoolAnne, we could all go to Penrith show. I can't walk for long without needing to sit down either, Last time I went which admittedly was a while ago it was like stepping back in time to a James Herriot era. As for OH's knees, I am on the same page, I have osteo arthritis and can only take paracetamol too. I have had steroid injections which helped one knee for about a month but not the other. That might be something to investigate. They are a miracle for some people.
I am sorry to hear your little cat is poorly Wednesday.
Queen Jess, thank you for the virtual bread. Bread is my downfall and I think virtual bread may be the answer.
I listed some things online that were donated to our craft stall the other day. They have sold and money will go to the new community centre fund.
