The wind had died down here today but it was a wet start to the day.
I took photos for V even though the light was dire.
I popped to SA to collect a bag of shoes for listing on V. I took a completed bag of textile recycling with me. When I went out to put it in the storage crate - someone had been in it and ripped open all the bags that I had carefully packed yesterday. Apparently they left the side gate open again but it had been closed when I got there.
We are going to look at the CCTV to see who is climbing into the side alley at night. I have suggested anti climb paint. I don't think C would let me have an electric fence! I was really miffed after my hard work yesterday. They had also been in another crate. I took photos.
When I got home - I thought that I had left my bag at SA so went back. It wasn't there. Got home to realise that it was in my trolley!
I had to find and wrap 12 sales so that took some time.
I trotted to town with the parcels.
I listed on V after cooking dinner.
Of course I have been up and down stairs looking after Mr F - he only came downstairs to eat his dinner.
My first husband said that I was lazy - I was looking after 6 children, a 4 storey house, a very large garden, chickens, ducks, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Mr F would never call me lazy but I think that I am.
Sales on V - £26.

Maybe you could consider beginning to reduce the amount you do for the SA though - being so close & so willing is a bit of a poisoned chalice for you & a benefit for the Superintendent as you seem to always be first call, even though you are not an Officer.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi all, a busy day yesterday, 2 bags and a box of driving stuff finally out of the hall and back into the boot of OH's car. Personally I would have sorted it first and probably found a better way to store it but not my circus as they say
. All the shopping was put away and lots of bits of carp binned and recycled. I hoovered the hall, frightened a few spiders
and then got the mop on it. I wasn't completely happy with the mop and ended up on my knees with some rags and gave it a wash. I think I need a new mop, I will have a chat with ln who was talking about mops a couple of weeks ago and see what type she has just bought. She has laminate flooring as well and has tried a few
. All the paintwork was wiped down, the top of the gas cupboard was cleared and the hall is looking quite nice now
, it took a while and I actually worked up a sweat
but 3 rag floor cloths binned
. I used up a candle, 1 item into the cs bag, the kitchen recycling was emptied and I ordered my meds. Just collapsed on the couch after that
. I felt my age when I went to bed
.
Today I have a gas engineer coming to sort out my smart meter, not sure if they are going to fit a new meter or if this is just the visit to look at it. We shall see
. No rain forecast for today so I will put another load of washing on the line to get the worst of the wet off
.
I have a list of things to do today including sorting out a passport renewal for the children in Germany who have dual nationality, hopefully I have all the information I need and it won't be too complicated.
@Florenceem I was angry on your behalf that anyone could call you lazy. You are one of the hardest working people I have ever "met". If you think you are lazy I think your ex really messed with your head and you need to work on getting that idea out of your head. The fact that you stayed with him long enough to have 6 children says a lot about your loyalty. I would have kicked him into touch the first time he called me lazy. You are worth so much better. I am so glad you have found Mr F who seems to appreciate you. Sorry he is suffering atm but hoping he is soon on the mend, hugs.
I agree with @Floss that maybe you need to think about reducing your workload for the SA even though I know you like to keep busy you don't seem to have any time for your crafting any more and I know you enjoy it and must miss it. You do deserve time to do things for you, hugs.
Right off to get another cuppa and sort the washing.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
1744 - 1746 things back into OH's car boot
1747 - 1749 rags binned
1750 kitchen recycling
1751 candle in
1752 meds ordered
Take care everyone

Nice to see you back LiverpolAnne. Penrith is just lovely. There is a fabulous agricultural show in July. Interesting about speed limits on the motorway. Mr V emptied the tat out of the car the other day into 2 bags. His plan was to either shove them in the shed or shove them back in the car. I tipped them out onto the floor and 90% of it went into the bins. Just how many Mc Donalds accoutrements does one need? hahaha.I feel your pain about OH just shoving stuff back in the car unsorted. Me n Mr V have only been married 15 years, so his training is still in the early stages!
Oh dear Florenceem I agree with Floss and LiverpoolAnne, you never stop and everything you do is for other people. I used to post on the craft stash board but it fell by the wayside when MIL was ill. I still lurk occasionally. I was thinking the other day that you don't seem to be crafting or posting there anymore. Shame as you are a talented crafter too. Btw, you are very well rid of your first husband as I am sure you know.xx
A load of washing in, I am on a mission today to get stuff put away that has almost been put away. ie on the worktop under the cupboard it needs to go in. Sadly we get very few visitors here but I would still like to be visitor ready. If the house is tidy my mind feels clearer.
I ate a months old frog yesterday and went for a meds review with the Pharmacist. I changed GP practice and my repeat prescription was all out of sync. We have a new young Pharmacist who is keen as mustard to stop waste for the NHS. He has my vote.
Mr V has reluctantly agreed to release one coat from his extensive collection. They have to live in the shed as there are so many as his wardrobe is stuffed full. He wears the same things all the time but he likes to have stuff. I like clothes as well so I can't complain.
I am off to craft club later, possibly the last one for me this year due to other stuff going on. I am going to visit one of the ladies I met at the Christmas fair after. It must be 18 months since we last met up.
Take care friends Vx

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Completely forgot to post yesterday 🙊 & not because I was particularly busy 😉
Monday: A bright sunny morning after storm Bert - no damage just a couple of bits of garden furniture blown about 😮💨 Forecast high of 12°C. I was up & dressed at 11:40. DH filled the bird feeders & fed the worms + topped up the compost bins. I rearranged my opticians appointment as I have a slight eye infection. We had the last of the hm soup 😋 I again spent the day knitting & watching TV. The hat is finished & sewn up & I have almost finished knitting the wrist warmers. Dinner was beef in gravy with mash, green beans or cheesy leeks. Wudupa.
144 - 146 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, glass bottle - recycled
147 Kitchen detritus binned
Tuesday: having gone to bed late, I then couldn’t fall asleep so was up at 08:00 but not dressed. Currently dry & bright & 6°C but only set to rise to 9°C
basketcase, thanks for all your work in the TLC Carriage & especially for the endless supply of hot drinks 😊 Nice of you to give the staff some time off 😃 Wow you had a busy Friday to Sunday 🤩 You got so much done that I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for all the work in the kitchen + a medal 🏅 for the work on your finances 👏 + great work on the NSDs 🥳
Great decluttering TC77 👏 Hopefully the more you declutter & the more space you create the quicker it will be to vacuum so the smaller charge will not be an issue 🤞
Lovely post vulpix 😊 You have been busy 👏 I have a long To Do list but would much rather knit 😉
Moorviews, sorry to hear that you were unwell on Sunday 😔 I do hope you are fully recovered after your time in the TLC Carriage 🙏 Lovely cheerleading post 😊
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Good luck with all the tradesmen this week 🍀 Hopefully they will all provide reasonable quotes & each one will be as efficient as London_1’s various tradesmen 🤞🙏
vulpix this “…. gosh, I always think of myself as being sloth like” had me scratching my head in puzzlement 🤔 You must be the fastest moving sloth in the world 😊
~FlowerPot~ you never know, London_1 might have been waving back at the same time 😅 Some great decluttering 👏 & I do hope you were successful with your leaf decluttering 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, your mini break sounds absolutely wonderful 😊 Not sure I would have been brave enough to use the hot tub in such chilly weather 😉 Shame about the traffic on the way home although I am pleased to hear that OH took over the driving duties on Saturday 🙂 Very, very impressed at how much you have got done since you got back 👏 worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 😊 I will be keeping my fingers crossed that OH does start to keep the kitchen tidy & starts to contribute to decisions re meals 🤞 I am in full agreement with this “I am fed up making all the decisions about what we eat”as I do find it quite stressful 😩
You have been busy oceanspirit 👏 Well done on both stocking up your freezer & tackling the garden 😊
Great decluttering Deni_debt-free_dreamer 👏 steady progress & every little bit helps 😊
More excellent decluttering basketcase 👏 especially tackling the Admin Alligator which merits a medal🏅 I have popped into the TLC Carriage & appropriated some chocolate 🙂
Just broke off from cheerleading to pay the window cleaners. Chatted to Joy whilst Simon was carrying over the ladder. She was really feeling the cold today so I gave her a pair of wrist warmers which she put on over her woollen gloves & under her rubber gloves. Hopefully they will help to keep her hands a bit warmer 🤞 She was so pleased she gave me a hug 🤗
A very busy Monday Florenceem 👏 How annoying that your previous good work was undone by some ‘oik’ 😠 The 2nd part of this “I have suggested anti climb paint. I don't think C would let me have an electric fence!” had me laughing out loud 🤣 As to your comment about being ‘lazy’ I am in full agreement with Floss! Not quite sure what was wrong with your first husband, but I am flabbergasted 🤯
Floss, hear! hear!
I am flagging now, so will post & finish the cheerleading after I have another cuppa 😉

Good morning everyone. A lovely sunny start to the day, so 2 loads of washing blowing nicely on the line. Put away yesterday’s ironing (nearly caught up yay!!) Decluttered a small oak chest of drawers that was surplus to requirements. Gone to DH’s shed to be broken up and used in other projects and lots of tidying and putting away. A bucket of washing gloop made. Vacuuming done and kitchen floor mopped and meds ordered. All before lunch😃. Actually today is the first time I’ve felt like getting the jobs done since having lurgy. Must be finally on the mend. Glad your break was good LiverpoolAnne. Very brave re the hot tub. What a shame Florenceem that someone undid all your efforts at SA. Agree with everyone you are the last person anyone could describe as lazy, which is why he’s an ex-H. Good news that Mr F came downstairs for dinner. Baby steps will get there. Haha Vulpix like most men “out of sight, out of mind”. Good job we love them eh😁. Well off to walk DS’s dog and then a quick sandwich for lunch. See what I can get sorted this pm, before I run out of steam. Enjoy the rest of your day folks15

47/52 - DH sorted through a huge pile of ex-work papers and lots out to recycling.
48/52 - bag of items dropped off at charity shop. Cocktail shaker, new lego Mario build kit, Escape room game, Pentago game, Pub quiz game, new cheese game.16 -
I ironed clothes for V and took photos this morning - we had some sunshine so I got clearer pics.
We had a taxi to the surgery and back. Doctor has given Mr F 2 lots of antibiotics as the infection is so bad. He has to finish his first lot and then take the two new ones together. Mr F also got some stronger painkillers as Paracetamol wasn't touching his pain.
Mr F went straight back to bed when we got home from the surgery.
After lunch I popped to SA - sorted some sacks of donations.
We know who has been climbing into the alley and tampering with the bins - one of the homeless women with a friend.
I went to As.. to get some milk and Mr F's medication.
Made a cuppa when I got home and did our ironing.
I brought some clothes back from SA for listing on V - I put one lot in the wash straight away - they were so dirty but good brands.
I had to find 7 sold items - so far only found 6 - wrapped ready to post tomorrow. I have since sold two more items.
I listed a pair of men's Clar.. shoes for £15 - I was offered £9 - said no and an hour later sold them for the asking price.
I have been listing on V this evening.
I haven't been crafting but there are curtains and cushions to make. I will start with the cushions as less fabric to lay out - need to test my back. If I can manage the cushions - next will be voile curtains as that fabric is light to lay out.
I have missed crafting but couldn't do any while my back was hurting. It may be weeks before I get physio.
Thank you all for the encouragement but I know that I procrastinate.

Good evening chums, well today was my dog-sitting day as DD and my lovely son-in-law Simon went off to Portsmouth for the day
I dropped them down at Ryde Pieri for the fast cat over at 9.20.
I came home and spent the day keeping three dogs company. The Skip chap came and removed the skip so at least I have a parking spot once more on our duel drive.
My car, as I don't use it that much has been parked across the road, and our roads not very wide so I worry about things getting through, but touch wood alls been well as the skip was there for 6 weeks. The bathroom downstairs is finished and we have added a few bit and pieces to it and its looking great.
Just awaiting a chap to come and do the last odds and end in my sitting room , then my new carpet gets laid next Monday, and the curtains and blinds will go up and I can move my bits and bobs downstairs into it.
DD and her OH had a great day out in Portsmouth. It was Simon's birthday so a 'treat day' for him. They went to the Museum there, and she said it was brilliant (and free) .They also went round the Dockyard and went on the tour of the
HMS Victory (not free, but it was a treat day ) They had a lovely sunny dry day which was nice as a lot of walking was involved.
I did a wash load and got it on the line and dried by 3.30 due to rain a bit tomorrow so its a job done and dusted
They got home around 6, and we had dinner of a nice chicken curry and his favourite chocolate cake for pudding, the boys all face-timed him which really made his day bless him, he's always chuffed when the boys get in touch.
He's a very quiet shy chap and never says an awful lot, but to him his wife and family are his life bless him , and he would do anything for them.
Right Night night god bless all here

Mr V donated 2 pairs of old glasses.
Mrs SD, I was once on a school trip to Chester Zoo. We were asked to leave the sloth house as one was making the slowest break out ever over the top of the enclosure!
What did I say about hardly ever having visitors. Someone txt me and is coming for coffee with her friend in the morning.
The house is ok,it's me that takes ages to get up in a morning, I could be still in bed!
