Wednesday is bright & sunny but quite cold 🥶 with a forecast high of 6°C DSis has two hospital appointments today - one @ 13:30 & the other @ 15:30 😧 fortunately both at the same hospital but in different buildings. My DH is taking her on the motorbike so they need to wrap up warm. General household waste wheelie bin was emptied & now has a new bin liner. Straight into cheerleading:
Florenceem, sorry to hear about MrF 😔 I agree with London_1 & like her am so glad you stood your ground and got both an appointment and the blood test. Hopefully the blood test results will give the doctor the information needed for a diagnosis & treatment plan 🙏 It is just such a shame that it was so stressful getting get both the appointment & the blood test 😞
Wow you have been super busy GrannyKate 🤩 Excellent work unpacking over half the boxes already 👏 & some great decluttering 👏 Keeping fingers crossed that new windows can be fitted quickly & that you can get the roof sorted out quickly 🤞
Excellent decluttering basketcase 👏 Well done on resisting temptation at the Christmas Market 🥳 Re the NSDs - it does seem like a great idea to “differentiate between necessary items and unplanned and/or unbudgeted spends?” I love the idea that “alligator wrangling” turned into “prodding a small lizard with a stick” 🤣 Although you should remember that some of those ‘small lizards’ can be extremely vicious 😥
Duchess2, some good work decluttering the laundry including ironing 👏 Those hm scones sound yummy 😋
suzeesu2000, very impressive getting a whole years worth of paperwork scanned & filed or shredded 👏🤩 That deserves a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 😊 Now that you are caught up it should be easier to deal with on a monthly basis 🤞
basketcase, you might have been tired yesterday but you still got a lot done 👏 I am loving your “amphibian/reptile” classifications - very entertaining 😊 Yippee to another NSD 🥳
Almost caught up but do need to go out so will finish off when I get back. DH & DSis have just left 12:45. DSis has so many layers on that she looks like the Michelin Man 😂 I do hope everyone is managing to stay warm.

Hello everyone
I have my fleece lined hoodie on and giving heartfelt hugs to those who are in need.
We had heavy rain all night but sunshine with strong winds this morning. Possible sleet showers later and strengthening winds forecast for this afternoon so I put my bin out very early today just in case.
Half an hour later and I am sitting in near darkness and it is snowing but must have hail mixed in as it's pinging off the windows and the wind is howling.
Glad I cancelled an hour's train journey to the City today.
Instead I have cleared, moved and damp dusted a bookcase from one side of the room to the other. I found a curly wurly behind it "best before 2017" - it was yummy (just joking!). Mopped the floor in the space created as I am having a chest of drawers (more like a sideboard with drawers) delivered tomorrow.
I haven't bought any new big item for years but this was on a sale leaflet through the door and I'm hoping the drawers will make me more organised. The rocking chair that was in the space now occupied by the bookcase is now in the lounge.
Also finally got around to purchasing a replacement freezer which arrived on Monday. I've upgraded from a tabletop sized one to an under counter freezer and it's in the pantry. The old leaking one is on its little table indoors in front of the back door (which doesn't open) until I can arrange Council pickup but I want to replace old sofa first via the New Year sales so Council can hopefully take both at the same time.
Fleabaying is going v.well but house is a tip with boxes of boxes, huge sacks of bubble wrap and items to be listed/wrapped/sold. I won't be doing any more after the first week of Dec, it's a bit much.
Hope everyone is still doing well. I will post my numbers in a separate post.

all the electrics live and working in both the sitting room and shower room Virtually silent extractor fan is brilliant and the builder has installed a mirror which lights when you touch the spot on it, very high tech
The window ledge if fitted in the sitting room and the batten fixed and undercoated top coat tomorrow then curtain pole goes up on Friday.Plasterer coming tomorrow to do the inside bits of the window.
He said it will definitely be finished by Friday afternoon .Carpet chap coming next week to fit carpets and new kitchen and Hall floor.
Its been a long time but I'm so pleased with ll thats been done, Builder is picking up a grab rail for my shower on his way home lady and will fit it tomorrow
I am delighted with his work and my DD being a property manager for a large company has forwarded he company details to her management so he will get registered with them

Wednesday: I did go out - wrapped up warm 🙂 I left just before 14:00 & got back 15:45. Ticked off several tasks - 1. banked November’s PB winning cheques (£100 + £50) - I must admit I do like to receive cheques rather than have winnings banked direct to my account as it means I MUST go out once in a while 😂 2. called in at pharmacy to pick up prescription meds 3. bus to As*a to have a look at their clothing range - absolutely nothing appealed so will visit M&S in Lewisham. I have a fairly long list of ‘needs’ which ‘should’ give me a kick up the jacksie to tackle my wardrobe & CoD cull 😉 DH & DSis got back about 16:30 - frozen to the core. They warmed up fairly quickly as the heating was on & DSis put her Oodie on 🙂 Dinner was the rest of the bolognaise sauce with pasta shells - I am still working on creating enough freezer space to take both freezers contents so I can defrost both. Wudupa.
109 - 113 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 newspapers, cardboard box - recycled

Apologies for not finishing the cheerleading, I will do it tomorrow 🙂 Sleep tight 😴

Thanks MrsSD, so that’s where it went. Haha.😃 Well done on venturing out. Don’t envy your DH and DSis on a motorbike this weather. Brrrrr. Nearly at the finishing post now London_1. Your builder deserves to get more work on the strength of such a good job. They are few and far between these days. Popped to Asda yesterday to stock up on bread flour and a few bits I can’t get from Aldi. Nice long walk with ours and DS’s dogs, then back to snuggle under a blanket. Trying to just put heating on for 2 hours a day and in the evening just heat one room. Beans on toast and a nice hm apple crumble with vanilla & caramel ice cream for dinner. Good comfort food. Stay safe and warm everyone. Hope your day goes well15

Old lining paper from 2 sets of drawers and paper from my stick usef. Leaking pen out. Busy at work in the office but little done. Hoping to pop to cs tomorrow lunchtime when working at home as need to get things out. I couldn't find something this morning and amount of surface clutter frustrating as things kept falling on the floor! Late to work!
That and catching up on mounting frogs will be priority this weekend!17
