Good morning. Well I finally took bags to cs. Good riddance. I’m afraid the ironing pile has only increased. Maybe today😃. Finally feeling as though I’m coming through the other side of this wretched virus. About time. @vulpix well done on rescuing your neighbour. Could have been much worse. @oceanspirit take care and keep rested. Doesn’t always do us any good to try and work through illness. @Florenceem in awe of your energy. No wonder you are tired. Don’t burn yourself out. @Liverpool_Anne sorry to hear you are still suffering. Hope you continue to improve so that you can enjoy your weekend. @QueenJess WOW joining the queue for the cake. Absolutely stunning. A little trip to Lidl for a few basics, an urgent appointment with the ironing board and doggo walking will just about be my limit today. Hope everyone has a lovely day16

Small success: I've put a bag with rags, clearly labelled 'rags', in the textile recycling container.

Walking round to SA for singing group woke me up yesterday evening. We have started to learn a Christmas carol - new to me. We practiced the praise song for Sunday's service.
I was sorting and ironing for V this morning then taking photos.
I sorted out a trolley of stuff for the charity shop and Mr F went out with it.
I remembered that I wanted to collect a bag of yarn from the SA so set off. I spotted Mr F coming along the road. He had his head down and looked like a man of 82 instead of 72 - I had thought he didn't seem right in the morning but he wanted to go out.
We went into SA together and collected the bag.
I wrapped parcels while Mr F acted very strangely - quiet and not moving. Then he took ages eating his dinner and said he couldn't manage it all - wasn't hungry. Mr F never leaves any food on his plate at a meal.
I have asked Mr F if he feels okay, is there something on his mind? He just isn't right.

Florenceem, I hope he perks up if not try to get him to the Drs ,just for a quick MOT. keep and eye on him though (I expect you will) and fingers crossed he's just having a bit of an off day
You seem to be doing a grand job and are so busy, today the day seems to have just slipped by and I don't seem to have achieved very much at all.
But I woke at 4.00 am and was wide awake for no apparent reason, just wide awake .So I got up and made a cuppa (I have a small fridge in my bedroom and a kettle and teabags etc ) took it back to bed and thought Hmm I'll send a text to my eldest grandson Danny (as he is 34 today and lives in New York) forgetting of course that they are around five hours behind us.
He replied immediately and said "I've still got 33 minutes left of being 33 Nan"
Bless him then we had a long online conversation about books we are both reading, and politics and the new president. So it was another 45 minutes before he went off to bed and I drank my tea and decided I'd read a little until my eyes got heavy so it was around 5.30 before I eventually nodded off again. Seven o'clock arrived and Alexa wakes me up with the news. So a broken nights sleep.
Did very little today apart from read and sew some of my blanket squares together only four more to make then it will be a single blanket to go to the local homeless charity as they can always do with extra blankets at this time of the year.I knit 24 smaller squares of different colours then knit a band all around in white to make a bigger square then nine of the bigger squares make a single blanket which is multi coloured and bright.
Apart from having a read after that I don't seem to have been very productive at all today, its one of my 'pottering days ' I think. The tempreture dropped like a stone by tea time and its pretty nippy tonight forecast is 3c
I hope everyone is as warm as they can be

@Florenceem oh dear how worrying for you. Maybe time to get GP involved. Take good care of yourselves. @London_1 I think we all need catchup days. Doesn’t help when our sleep is disturbed. I regularly end up reading at stupid o’clock and feel almost hungover the next day and I haven’t touched a drop 😁. Made progress with the ironing pile today. I swear my ironing pile is being infiltrated by some belonging to another family. We can’t possibly use that many clothes. Also did some recycling and despatched an eBay parcel. Just got to get on and list some more items. Get well wishes and virtual hugs to those that need them. Cosy thoughts for a good night’s 💤13

@Duchess2 from the amount of ironing I’ve got, I swear there are people living in this house who I haven’t met yet! 😂 I keep doing a few bits at a time but the pile isn’t shrinking.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Up late again Wednesday. so missed the sunshine 😔 The household waste wheelie bin was emptied this morning - new black bin bag now in. Forgot to mention that DSis has seen a family of mice running in & out of the ground feeder for the last 2 nights (about 2.00 a.m.) Started my next set of knitted items. Dinner was linguine in a creamy bacon & pea sauce. Wudupa.

Thursday: I was up a couple of hours earlier - just after noon 😔 Dark & dreary outside with a forecast high of 13°C. DSis did all her washing & drying. The recycling wheelie bin has been emptied. DH is still waiting for a call about the motorbike 😔 I have my first cuppa & am settling down to the cheerleading 🤞- failed miserably as I got distracted by my knitting 🙊 DH has made soup using up various leftovers + all the ‘sad’ vegetables from the fridge + the last of the beef - so the soup is more like a stew 😉 We have taste tested & it is a bit spicy so I have added sour cream to the shopping list. Garage finally phoned - all work completed - new forks in, new brake pads, new tyres & oil. The price was 😩 £1,700 but as luck would have it DH found a forgotten account with £850 in it 🥳 Dinner was a ‘use up’ - three single portion meals - two of which came from the freezer. DSis had linguine, DH had cheesy pasta & I had spaghetti bolognaise. I have a little more wiggle room in the kitchen freezer & am hoping that it won’t be too long before I can start defrosting the freezers 🤞Wudupa. I have finished knitting & sewn up the hat + finished knitting the wrist warmers & started knitting the scarf.
72 - 73 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
74 - 75 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
London_1, brilliant use of the leg of lamb 👏 DH had been tempted to buy one last week (half price with Nectar points) but as only my DSis loves lamb he resisted the temptation & bought the beef instead 😉 Hope you are successful with both the light fittings & the clothes shopping 🤞
Florenceem, excellent work on V 👏 Like you, I just do not understand why people leave bags of donations outside in the rain 😔 Hopefully your swift action will ‘save’ most of the items 🤞
vulpix, of course the best part of reaching the ‘Maintenance Decluttering stage’ is that you have more time to do the things you love 😊 I am changing ‘annoying’ for ‘admirable’ person who always has one or two projects on the go 😊 As to the Christmas chair not turning out as expected, does this mean that you are more or less likely to keep it 🤔 I do hope your dentist visit went well & that it was painless in both respects - physically & financially 🙏 So very sorry to hear about your son’s cat 😔 I had never heard of F A T E, so googled it - what a horrible condition 😔
GrannyKate, words escape me 😳 Everything crossed that it all goes smoothly on Friday 🤞🙏🤞
Excellent work with the sales 2Scratters 👏 & great work helping your Mum declutter 👏 Really hope I haven’t missed the dark chocolate pear dessert 🤞
vulpix, lovely to remember bit by bit 😊 So pleased that you were able to help your neighbour - it must have been quite frightening for everyone 😥 & the smell doesn’t bear thinking about 🤢
oceanspirit, pleased to hear that you have spent time in the TLC carriage in order to recover from your sore throat 🙂 The ginger & turmeric soup was very welcome 👏 Wow, synchronised statements - wonders will never cease 🥳
I have caught up a little so will post & try harder tomorrow 😉 Sleep tight 😴
