Welcome back @retiredinfrance . Sorry to hear how difficult this year has been so far for you *hugs*, but it sounds like things are looking up@Liverpool_Anne I was asked by my ex ex work if I could come back and contract for them for 3 months, so I am employed until the end of November and then will have to find myself something new to do.I'm feeling very impressed with myself today. DD's matttress finally turned up at lunch time and so I made the whole bed, won the cardboard tetris challenge by getting all the boxes into our recycling, listed her old cotbed on buy nothing and even got it picked up. Go me! I'm still working on clearing the library - it's very much a work in progress at the moment.Digital:

Hugs to all who need them. Managed to contact my sellers who were surprised to find their solicitor sitting on paperwork and not sending to mine! They will regularly chase up now until they are sure it has been sent. I tried to ring my EA to update them as I had promised and got a recorded message to say I needed to ring during normal office hours. It was 3.30 on a Monday afternoon (today) - not sure what hours they work!
Thanks for my ⭐ Mrs SD
Been helping with DS2 move etc over weekend and today. Sorted my garage and put most of his stuff to one side emptying the two shelving units he is having. GF and I managed to move them one at a time in my car so she can bring order to their garage. He is away until Friday now. Fridge swop done - thanks to 2 lads who managed to get my American Style fridge/freezer out of my house and into van. Ideal for DS2 but too big for my new place. I have GF's in place of mine - too tall to fit in gap in kitchen so I have a space which I have now filled up with folded moving boxes. 'New' fridge in dining room which I keep forgetting. We did a tip run as well. My car now knows the way backwards and forwards to the other side of town where we will both be living. Uses a lot of fuel though.

Art class went well and my teacher swooped down to take the 2 silver frames I had available. Happy even though only 1 had glass in it. I've 2 more frames to get rid of - neither are very nice but I'm considering if the glass is reusable. Should have looked to see if the glass in the smaller of the two would fit the one silver frame. Might email my teacher to check if she's interested in those too.
And teacher had some books she wanted to get rid of - 2 by a teacher who taught a day class but I didn't find very useful - so that was a no. The other was a great looking book on painting flowers but another student was interested and I admitted I have more books than I look at so best not to take anything more. Bullet dodged. Left a NTS book with the teacher as well as it had some interesting photos in it that might be good for future classes. Didn't put my name in it so I may not get it back - not a problem. More shed clearing - a few things binned and others tidied. Some kitchen storage rearranged so things should be easier to find and a box of photos moved from kitchen into living room for sorting out during the winter months.
It is so lovely to be able to walk around bedroom without having to manoeuvre around boxes and clutter. I am so looking forward to the whole place feeling like that.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅16 -
Morning All, some fantastic decluttering efforts going on! Hugs to those who need them. Back yesterday from a 3 day camping trip, weather was kind to us and lovely to spend time in nature. We stayed on edge of Exmoor, beautiful scenery and a much slower pace of life.
Will be working from home today just so I can get on top of the laundry. DD starts back at school today, older ones later this week.
Totally forgot to declutter some bits to my family. Car was packed within an inch of its life for camping. A roof bag/box is needed or a bigger van! Will need to arrange another trip x
Decluttering needs to be started and I need to stop buying stuff! Though realised children have grown over summer so items need culling and then replacing.16 -
446-465 neutral items x 19 out for a good cause. Brought any remaining items home, they will be used for another cause/causes.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi all, had a lovely day yesterday. We planned to meet our friend at a place near her house but when we got there it was closed so she suggested a local garden centre which did nice food and was good for a mooch. While we were there I bought some compost and a garden saw as I have failed spectacularly to find my electric hand saw.and I need something to get the big branches out and the rest of the tree. On the way home we picked up some coffee and OH"a free covid tests. Even though it was gone 5 we had coffee over the fence with ln who I think was glad for the break as she is putting her house back together after having her work finally finished though she now has to decorate and has a cupboard built by her late DH on the landing she wants removing. Her lovely s-i-l will be doing that next weekend while she is away visiting her ggds. Ln and OH moved on to a swift Bailey's while I tried out the saw
. It was amazing, I was so pleased as I am not usually that good with a saw but I reduced the large buddleia trunks to easily handled chunks in a short time. I thought I had better stop then as I was wearing my slippers and they are not the most sensible footwear for gardening
The logs will go on the log pile
. The kitchen recycling was emptied and the box of favours were dropped off along with the remains of the bottle of whiskey for the groom to have
Today I have changed the bed and brought into use a new lightweight quilt I picked up in the sale and I have bagged up the old quilt to take to the cleaners when I pop out to the sm in a minute, this has turned into a frog as I have been meaning to do this for months. The covers etc are swishing and will go on the line. When I get back I want to do some more chopping and take some more rose cuttings from what is left of the rose and tie up what is being kept and pot up the lavender plants and finish sorting out the pots. If there is time and I have the energy I then want to tackle the tree.
@QueenJess the job sounds like a winner as you seem to be happy with it and the timescale is good for looking for a new job
Right better get weaving or the day will be gone. Hugs to everyone who would like one

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Apologies for not reporting back yesterday 🙊 The appointment with the pharmacist went very well. A very informative & professional gentleman who put me at my ease over the course of 35 minutes - answering all my questions as well as chatting about my general health & yes I did take notes 😉 He has put me on a low dosage of a BP medication (which I picked up from the pharmacy next door) + booked me in for an ECG & also a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks. Then I caught the bus to sm & did a small shop. I was out for just over 2 hours. Whilst I was out DSis did her laundry although she had to use the td due to the inclement weather ☹️ DH phoned about 18:00, he had a successful day & apparently the rain had only amounted to a couple of short, light showers so he never got wet 🙂 DSis & I had pork medallions, boiled potatoes & frozen mixed vegetables for dinner. Wudupa.
1463 - 1466 Kitchen & office recycling, large plastic container, drinks cans - recycled
1467 - 1468 Kitchen & DSis bedroom detritus - binned
As an aside I took my BP (3 times) just before 03:00 & it averaged out at 134/72 - my lowest ever without the benefit of a pill 😉 I must have been really stressing about the whole issue as the top reading was 20 to 30 points lower & the bottom reading was between 15 & 20 points lower than any previous reading 🤷♀️
Tuesday is a slightly brighter day although still cloudy & with a forecast high of 23°C. Having taken my first tablet, I am now settling down with my first cuppa & catching up with the cheerleading 😉 but only after checking if ERNIE has been kind …….. yes he has - £100 for me but sadly nothing for DH.
Lovely to see you short_bird 👋 You have been busy, excellent & copious amounts of decluttering 👏🤩 So good in fact that a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way & you are very close to receiving another 😉 Also great work dealing with frogs & earning a bit on sales of books 👏
crazybunnylady4, sounds very challenging & stressful 😰 Hopefully if the new system remains in place it will get easier 🤞🤞🤞 Hope the lightning & bad weather stayed away on Sunday 🙏 Good news re the sales & building up your coffers 👏
retiredinfrance, it is so lovely to see you back 😊 especially after such a horrid & stressful year so far 😔 Lots of cwtches coming your way 🤗 + flowers 💐 & a fervent hope that not only does MrRif’s health continue to improve but that you have no more health concerns 🙏Here’s hoping that your ‘Annus Horribilis’ now morphs into an ‘Annus Mirabilis’ 🙏 Well done on managing some excellent decluttering during such a stressful time 👏 although I do believe that you have understated your previous total - I had a note that you had 91/366 (when you posted on p324) 😊 So I am updating your total to 181/366 on P502 & awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ I skipped ahead to your next posts & with the addition of 4 on page 503 & a further 3 on page 504 your new total is 188/366 which merits a second Gold Star ⭐️
DH just phoned 13:12 - he has taken his last photo (in Lincolnshire) & is heading back 😊 A perfect place to stop for a while as not only have I reached the end of a page but the weather has perked up considerably so I will do some laundry 😉
