Lots of things going on in real life. Been trying to declutter when I can and have kept reading the thread as much as possible. Neutral items are overtaking the house but at the start of Autumn they will start to leave the house and the house will look very bare. It has been a bumper year for bargains, cannot complain as several charities will greatly benefit.
General decluttering has been as follows
114)-126) clothes in rag bag have left the house
Just working on a bag full of items for the charity shop
127)- 129) birthday presents x 3 that were travelling around the kitchen-finally sent
130) another birthday present out of stash
131)-135) make up items disposed at supermarket recycling point.
136) a fabric bag in a very poor condition-binned (blame one of the cats)
137) small toy in the same state after treatment by cats-binned
138)-139) two cuddly toys in brand new condition of DDs popped into the shoeboxes being made up.140) big bag of soft plastics out o the house to supermarket recycling point
141) one frog dealt with before it became huge.I desperately need to do a tip run at some point aswell.
Behind on my totals this year although happy I will smash the neutral item target.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hello.Today was a mix of packing & working. I’ve three big boxes on the go.I now have a capsule wardrobe to wear next few weeks. Everything else is packed away. I have so many pairs of jeans and stripy tops! But I like them ! I did have a jeans cull the other week.
I had a second sock cull, having gone through them all the other week but there must have been about 40 pairs of socks! Some seasonal. Some work ones ( for work I previously did) some thicker ones for dog walks in winter…anyway I now have less but still too many for one pair of feet!My recycling bins ( collected tomorrow) are chockablock!Put 2 houseplants up for free on local page. Claimed within 5 minutes and dropped them straight off ( was a neighbour)16 -

1179-1180 Kitchen bin and recycling out.
1181-1182. 2 cards used from stash.
1183- 1186,. 4 mags passed on to neighbour.

Mrs SD,you've taken me back to teenage romances, I think Halfwhistle I may have only been 12 or 13 but recall a teenage romance on the isle of man
Can't quite believe how much is in my house, still have to move things in the kitchen to have clear surface and elsewhere!
Have given myself a target of 100 items this weekend, in the hope that I get a quarter there! 697 yesterday, then broke a mug.
Came home tonight and have been watching detective shows... but have with the encouragement of @2Scratters and others have put sheets and towels for me in the blanket box in my room, spare stuff in the spare room, and 3 pillow cases in CS bag, and 1 in the animal rescue bag, so 702.
Neighbour gave me curtains about a year ago, and have odd heading and not sure they are for me. V heavy deep burgundy but going to CS as I picked up some from the CS which I prefer.
I realise how few things I actually use, saw an offer of M&S beauty bag worth over £100 for say around £35 then realise I bought the same offer 2 years ago and have only used one of the things...
703 opened packaging of a new sheet which has been tucked away for ages and for the summer I like having a sheet rather than duvet and maybe a blanket, its a nice sheet so not saving for best!

Hi,
June is a plan Liverpool Anne.
Your not wrong about it being hard to give everything you own away Queen jess. I have done just that for my Mother. It has taken 9 months to find a home for everything.
My Mum has been an absolute brick about giving her lifes possessions away, it must be so hard.
Gathered the last things floating about on the kitchen worktops at Mother's. A bag of curtains to fabric recycling, other random stuff to the tip, washing up bowl etc. A bin bag full of bin bags given away on Thrift. I sorted a bag of paperwork she has given me,Boiler, extension plans etc. I then spent the afternoon sewing on the machine. I sewed 2 of Mothers velvet curtains together to make a table cloth to hide some wires at one of Mr V's jobs.It is already washed and dried and ready for service.I have made 6 tote bags too. Well all are in various stages of completion, I have a production line going on. I will finish them tomorrow when I am home alone.
Mrs SD, no date for Mr V yet but something must be afoot as they only phoned and asked him to go for a scan the day before he went. You are right, planning a trip is half the fun.
Nanny, what is a rubber ladder?
Florenceem, I am pleased that Mr F has a GP appointment.
Yet another pair of socks have come in a hole. They are all the same age so all wearing out at the same time.
A few bits in from Mum's, paintbrush, woodwork stuff that Mr V will take to the men's shed project.
It has been more stressful than usual pushing the house emptying over the last hurdle. I have been comfort eating. Need to de clutter that now.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
My very late lunch was lo salad & boiled potatoes with some kidney beans - all drizzled in balsamic glaze 😋 DH & DSis finally got home 17:30. Apparently the buses are not running as the road is being dug up 😔 DSis is not very happy - apparently she now has very sensitive teeth so will need injections before having a deep clean 😫 but she did get her fillings done. Good news the woodpecker is still about - DSis just saw him 😊 After my late lunch I watched some TV & did some knitting. Our trip to Canada is now over, although we did have an extra day 😊 weenancy has been dropped off & the Teleportation Device is warming up. Dinner was sausages, mash & baked beans - real comfort food after a miserable day’s weather. Wudupa. It is 3.00 a.m. & we are back in the U.K. - I do hope everyone had a good time in Canada/USA 😊
791 - 792 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
793 Kitchen detritus - binned

Had a great time checking in on my relatives. Many of them had to be evacuated during the wildfires they had up there in BC. Most of them live near Salmon Arm and Tappen. One relative, his second wife, and his 17 children went up (couple of the children died young, but the rest have been multiplying like crazy). Over 300 came to the last reunion I attended up there. And the family has grown a lot since.
Got home from the virtual trip just in time - our Book Sale is tomorrow. 62 carts ready to go, will try and get a couple more ready in the morning. We can't open until 11 when the library opens. So have about three hours to get a few more boxes unpacked. We left a stack of over 20 boxes that we emptied out today. Some had been waiting almost a year.
Cats still in the decluttering mood - lots of papers and miscellaneous out thanks to the two of them. May get Di's room almost clean before too long. It will never be completely clean but at least most of the trash will be gone thanks to her cat Simon. Our problem is figuring out where to put things that are on their way out. No space to store it for later, it must go out immediately. I am looking forward to having sorting space someday. May have to pretend we are moving out. That seems to help with minimalizing for other people on here.
Have to stop and do five big frogs this weekend before decluttering continues - unless we will need to declutter just to find the missing paperwork!

Good Morning chums today I am decluttering myself to Colchester to see one of my oldest friends and also to see my DGS who is at Uni there .I may even get to see his young lady if she's not working
I have a list of folk I have to see before I move, and my namesake Jackie W is one of them. Sadly I had to go to her OH's funeral last year bless him .
She and he were my eldest DDs godparents.and we have been friends since 1964. So I definitely cannot move house until I have seen her..
I'll see DGS Mikey if I have some time afterwards ,depending on how long we have a chinwag for, we do share an awful lot of memories from over the years.
I thought as its forecast to be dry today I would have a drive up there. Its not a bad drive once I get through the Dartford tunnel, fingers crossed the A12 is running well.
So a bit of a break from house decluttering for me today ,although I did bring down from the airing cupboard a lot of linen and bedding, and its sitting on the sofa to be sorted tomorrow I will use a good deal of it in putting round china and kitchen bits when I pack the boxes up, as opposed to newspapers ,a lot easier and no waste as it will just perhaps need a wash once we've unpacked,
Right time for a shower and some breakfast then off on my travels

I've been able to shift/pack for charity about half of the stuff out, with a queue of people picking up from me today. I suspect there is much, much more though. I really hope this isn't a 9 month job! When my nan died her house was tidy, but every cupboard and crevice was rammed full of stuff. My parents had to go through it all to save the things they wanted (old photos, letters etc) and then just got the house clearers in. It still took them months! Straight after that, my parents had a massive declutter of their house. Definitely was a motivation for them!2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
