2 chests of drawers were wrangled out the building into the back of a borrowed van and then to me-to you’d into friends house, up the stairs , round a very tight corner and into their new home! See ya!And I think that’s all the excess furniture gone from my house.18

Not much decluttered recently but I have rehomed a plant to one of my colleagues. It was a leaf cutting from my maranta (prayer plant) but it’s grown into a nice shaped baby plant
We’re now down to the parent plant and a couple of more mature former leaf cuttings. One of the offspring has flowered for the first time. Not the best pic but gives you an idea.Tomorrow I’m being threatened by DSis with the shed or the garden….✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Hi all, yesterday I was out of the house before 9 to take the car to the garage. I had put OHs big coat in the wash before I left. By the time I walked home the coat was ready to go out on the line and I caught the merseyrail into town. I got 2 nice t shirts for OH's dsis and a cute little bib and brace set and a disney character top and jog bottoms for the baby, so 2 presents sorted. I had a coffee in the courtyard of the art centre, sitting in the sun before getting the train home. I showed my purchases to OH before they were wrapped in tissue and popped in gift bags from my stash so that's 2 more bags used
2 cards from my stash used and OH is delivering them on Monday
. The kitchen bin, kitchen recycling and lr bin were emptied and OH's coat brought in as it was dry
. Collected the car from the garage, all fixed and lots of money decluttered
. .After tea I watched the footy on tv, the less said about that the better, we were dreadful
Today I finally found a cs that was open and accepting donations so 12 items into the cs from the boot of my car. I did a sm shop on the way home. I wandered around the house and found 10 random things to put away, mostly from the conservatory so I am quite pleased with that. The piles are getting slightly smaller
@charlies_tribe the baby is due on Christmas dayI hope all goes well with your dd1, you can't always plan these things
@Wooly_Mammoth I vote for scrooge mcduck as well, your bathroom declutter has made me grateful I don't have any draws in my bathroom
@retiredinfrance sorry to hear Mr rif is in hospital but pleased you are getting such good treatment and everything crossed he is sorted out soon, hugs
@Vulpix, random screws here as well, found one on the floor in the lr the other day, I am waiting for a piece of furniture to collapse so I know where it has come from. Hugs for your DM, it must be very difficult to see your home being taken away and hugs for you too. I agree about not saving things and I am trying to make sure nothing is left lurking in cupboards or draws unused though I must confess to a stash of towels but I am not helped here by OH who steadfastly refuses to let me chuck any away. I only managed to get rid of 1 by compromising and turning it into a pile of flannel
@Brie
@Florenceem how is Mr F doing?
@mhagster I agree sitting in the sun is much nicer than sorting piles
@Wednesday2000 good luck with the ea
@bamboo_socks good luck with the vet and hope the cat is ok
@florianatwobob nice plant, I've never been successful with leaf cuttings
Well I have just seen the time so I will get this posted and get to sleep. Hugs to everyone who would like one

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks + a weekly Jettison Junk in January
2. Sort out sleep patterns - target bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 9:00 a.m
3. Deal with mail & email on a daily basis
4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I was reasonably busy after I last posted 🙂 First I picked up all DH’s clothes from the floor & relocated to the laundry bag 😔 then stripped & aired our bed before making up with new warm bedding. Decided against putting the wm on as it had got very dark outside 😔 A good decision as it turns out because it has been rained for a couple of hours. Next I dealt with today’s mail followed by phoning the bank to order a new cheque book & check on my accounts. Updated my accounts paperwork including shredding & filing. DH phoned about 15:30 - not good news the molar that was being removed disintegrated so the dentist couldn’t get all the tooth out - he has an urgent referral to hospital to get the remaining bit of tooth out. He also had 4 fillings so by the time he got home at 16:55 he was feeling very sorry for himself 😞 DSis finally got home at 17:20 as she popped into the sm on her way home. She bought spiced chicken in breadcrumbs & french fries which I cooked in the oven. Wudupa. I have also finished the scarf - 5’7” long & 9” wide. Two more balls of yarn used up.
651 - 654 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, 2 newspapers - recycled
655 - 656 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Will try harder tomorrow to catch up with the cheerleading 🤞

Ooo dear, poor Mr SD, I hope he is sorted very soon. xx
Awake since 3:45, gosh it was a cold night. So much I could do but feel too rough to do anything.
4 different charity shops visited yesterday with donations of various types. Very pleased that a lady collected a large tray of mugs. Hard thing to re home, every charity shop you go in has a shelf of unloved mugs. Paint and electricals taken to the tip. A massive black bag of empty tins collected. There must have been 40 pretty tins,Someone collected all the scrap metal and helped Mr V manhandle a metal bed frame down the stairs. A big thing gone with minimal effort.result. Started to empty the pine cupboard. It is all diy stuff and wood working stuff, one of my Mum's hobbies. Tins and tins of nails in tobacco tins. Tools etc ,etc. Black landfill bin put out, full of chipped plates and stuff no one would want.
A Ukranian lady is asking for stuff on FB. I wish it had been the day before. We took a new never out of the box slow cooker,a toastie maker in the box and a nice lamp of the squaters to the chazzer that takes electricals. I still have crockery she could have if she wants, and pieces of furniture. Table and chairs, sofa, welsh dresser, bedside tables , tv unit, mirrors etc. All modern and in good condition.
More unused food from our freezer given to DD2. I think my de cluttering is on hold until Mum's house is empty,Mr V has had some treatment and things feel on more of an even keel.
Mr V is away for a couple of days, back Saturday lunch time. I will knit and get my sewing machine out. I planned to make some tote bags weeks ago and just haven't had the time recently. A very slow day for me today.

I was in bed by 6.30 last night. I was quite stressed about the estate agent visit yesterday for some reason. It means I have been awake since 4.30 this morning. There is frost on the sheds outside so it must have been cold last night.
I was trying to be productive and book my dog in for her checkup at the vet while I was up early and I cleared the cache on my laptop and now I can't log back in to my email, annoyingly.
I went to brush and floss my tooth and while I was flossing something hit the bathroom floor and it was my tooth! I thought I had chipped it a few weeks ago but it didn't hurt so I hadn't made an appointment yet. I assume I have to see a dentist if I lose a tooth. At least it is at the back of my mouth!
I think it is one of those days and it isn't even 8 am yet.2025 GOALS

Oh dear, Mrs SD , Mr SD has a rough day .im send a big hug to you both , as watching a loved one in pain isn’t easy.Didn’t get to the CS yesterday as hospital phoned to say DH wouldn’t eat or drink and wanted to talk to me so they gave me permission to come to try to persuade him to eat. So, into reverse. I had a lovely drive through the countryside , however. He lad a long examination from another doctor , a geriatric doctor, and she thinks it is something neurological rather than psychiatric- he has delusions that they are gassing him secretly! More brain scans next week. He is not a happy bunny but I’m content that he’s there. Sorry to go on. but fellow declutterati chums will be going through, or have gone through similar situations and you all have my love and respect. On the decluttering side ….
8 books in French set aside for our local library sale
2 pretty tins for CS , thanks for the prompt Vulpix!
Total 10
So 275-10= 265/366 or thereabouts. Thanks Vulpix for your support, it is much appreciated .16 -
Thanks, Liverpool-Anne, your support means a lot to me. Every time I read your posts I recall my day trip from Belfast to see the Klimt exhibition at the Tate. A great city and home to my daughter-in-law.14 -
@retiredinfrance Have they checked for a UTI?Out: a pair of holy socks, a torn cotton handkerchief.Edit: I just remembered: I removed the children's coat rack from the wall. Now we only have the straight lines of the normal coat rack and the shoe rack underneath.I mentioned upgrading in an earlier post; I'd like to add that even then, second hand is fine. The drill bits were new, but if husband had found the branded ones second hand, I would have been happy, too. We're off to my Mum's this weekend, but staying at my SIL's, because Mum's living room stuff is all on the guest room bed! She's having the living and dining room ceilings painted, and will shortly have new floors; all paid for by the insurance company, because the upstairs neighbour's waterpipes sprung a leak.Saturday is King's Day in The Netherlands, so the whole weekend is filled with musical performances on the market squares and in the cafés, and a Free Market on Saturday in several parts of the city (Dutch people celebrate by selling their old junk
).
On Sunday we will celebrate DD2's 13th birthday. It's actually the day after, but all relatives live in my hometown and it will be the first time ever for her to celebrate with Aunts and Nieces (sorry, we are rather short on male relatives!).Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5916
