I was just talking to the woman who does my nails/eyebrows about decluttering and minimalism and Marie Kondo as she is on a decluttering kick at the moment. I said she should join this forum.16

Not much decluttering today apart from 2 Vinted parcels posted and I've just skipped out of work for an hour. I was given a heated throw by a local cancer charity who'd had a donation of them from our local public health team trying to use up funds before year end 😊 Ironically, my council tax has paid for it 🙄2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Running around today doing as much as I can (plus DS's cake for the party is cooling in the kitchen). I can see my jobs/tidying continuing until very late tonight to try and pack everything in. I've been trying to find 10 things to declutter everyday at the moment (which means a minimum of 20 things to tidy) and managed to do the 10 for yesterday and today. Still very much concentrating on the kitchen (plus the few bits I haven't yet shifted/sorted from the garage that are mine). I am slowly catching up on the tidying as I'm only about 350 items behind now, although I'm not sure the house actually looks any tidier... will try and get it into the 200's before the end of the day.Physical:
2 - cleaning cloth (recycled)
2 - baking supplies used up
2 - DS tat recycled
2 - cleaning caps (binned)
3 - paper, reused then recycled
2 - DS tat binned
1 - DD stuff (Buy Nothing)
1 - plastic bag recycled
6 - bird food bags used up/binnedNew total = 2,540Better run as I need to get petrol, put the living room back together (had internet stuff done earlier and needed to pull a massive unit out, which meant we had to empty it) and I still have to hide the cake once cooled, tidy a bit more, put the last bed back together and later on print off the treasure hunt clues for Sunday's party. It's all go!2025 decluttering: 3,452🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Thank you all for your lovely comments, tbh I wasn't expecting things to get worse than they already were so it knocked me back a bit, but it is what it is and I must get on with things. I think I may never leave the TLC carriage with all the generous offers of assorted bakes, beverages, juggling, fluffy throws and pillows to name but a few items. One request.... Has anyone got a cat I could cuddle too ? I don't want to wear the poor dogs out. I've already got a date for my MRI on the 12th and I have informed the cancer team, seems they are all on the ball.
I had a conversation with DH today about visiting the new cs shop at the tip with 2 more bags of stuff as it's a not for profit charity and he informed me that we can also take a working TV, no longer needed as we have upgraded it, a PS2 and an office monitor. He seems to be getting more on the side of decluttering by the day, yay !
MrsSD I've decided I won't take DH along too often, he might upset the gorgeous attentive waiters that someone has kindly employed 😉
Hugs to anyone struggling with life or illness 🧡

Hi chums ,no decluttering done today I was at a funeral this morning and then the wake so didn't get home until 3.30 and my decluttering always is on the go ,like me , first thing in the morning
I start to slow down after lunch and by mid-afternoon that's it But it will be on again tomorrow morning
DGS Jack is home for the weekend tomorrow, as its my birthday next week and he will be at his boarding school working, so he said he will come home this weekend (thats if the trains are running.) I hope so, as I have three electrical kitchen gadgets for him to take back with him on Sunday that I have donated to him as I no longer use them.
Most of the family history stuff is sorted just have to organise what I haven't shredded for eldest DD to take next time I see her.
We are thinking maybe Ryde for when we move, or even Northwood where my late husband came from just outside Cowes. We will be seriously house hunting next month as we are going down for a week and fingers crossed mine will have sold by then.
nannywindow I think a plateful of my 'Melting Moment Biscuits' and several cups of Yorkshire tea might be soothing after all that juggling in the TLC carriage. Nothing like a nice biscuit and a cuppa to perk one up a bit .Lots of good vibes coming along with the biscuits of course. Good to know that the team are on the ball for you. I'm sure some of the waitresses in the carriage can keep an eye on your OH and make sure he doesn't pinch the cakes and biscuits
Have a good weekend everyone and keep warm its not quite spring yet, but the nights are definitely getting lighter
JackieO xx

@nannywindow offer of small or large cat for snuggles,
photo taken some time ago so some of that surrounding mess gone, but probably other arrived.
Meant to be off work but have been doing some, but took stuff to CS, bank of things and recycling at boots
20 to boots, bathmat and hankie added to textile recycling and dropped of to CS with other things (bagged separately) also traditional kitchen weights, vintage pottery, storage box and folders and coat, also battery charger (have too many), also couple of vintage things binned (very hard for me to do but no-one wants them), and a few small bits in bin, counting as 45. Setting up a new CS bag . If I go at this pace think it will still take 3- 5 years, 5 if I get to photos etc, and want to shorten this!
I have skim read so lovely to read Mrs SD's message where I capture all the news and lovely comments to each other that I may have missed!19 -
