  • Thanks so much coupon mad! I would also like to add that one of my CCJs is from athaneum road were it was a free car wash in a car park, I took the letters to them today and they said they will get the land lord to dispute this with civil enforcement. They said it could be difficult as the ANPR cameras only go back 4 weeks but fingers crossed
  • I have now sent the defence forms. Regarding the DCBL CCJ with the car wash, if the landlord is able to cancel this with civil enforcement would I still be required to send the n244 for the aside? Or should I be doing this already to be a step ahead of DCBL

You need to get the N244 done asap as judges do not like prevarication.  You must act promptly upon discovering a CCJ.

  • sorry i meant the defence template and amended it, sent it to the email provided
  • I have good news so far!!!

Re Highview parking at puregym, I have received LOC from DCBL and these four charges amount to £700, I emailed puregym letting them know that it was two hours free parking and I entered my reg in the portal at puregym and I was still fined.

I received an email from the gym stating 'Good afternoon ******,

Thank you for contacting us at Assist.

I have contacted the parking company and requested that the tickets are cancelled down. Please expect to receive a confirmation letter in the post to confirm cancellation within 4-6 weeks.

Please do not worry about this, I have contacted Highview today to ensure the ticket has been fully cancelled down and that DCBL are instructed to close the cases against the vehicle. In the meantime, please refrain from contacting DCBL whilst we are communicating with Highview on your behalf.

    Thank you & kind regards!!!!!!!!!

These fines amount to basically 700!!!!!

Surely you have a court claim for that one by now?  A LoC from March is old.  Do they have your right address for that case?

    Re the defences x 2:

    1.  Did you get an auto-reply x 2 to your defences x 2 (you sent two emails with the correct claim numbers carefully typed in the subject lines?).

    2.  When you now use each claim password to view the claim history x 2 (separately) does it say that your AOS was the last thing done?

  • I haven't received a court claim for the UKPC one no. I did get two autoreplies and sent two emails with the claim numbers as advised on the subject. Also yes, it shows for both that the latest doc for both is the AOS. Re the LOC, I sent an email for both highview and ukpc as shown on newbies. but now that the gym is taking care of the highview parking ones I just want to know if for the UKPC one it is worth me emailing appealmoreinfo@ukparkingcontrol.com and the ligitation email I found on this forum. Should I wait for the response from DCB legal? Also thank you for your responses i do appreciate them and the advice!

You don't need to wait that long to check the cancellation has been effected. Go to the Highview website and login as if to pay the charge (obviously don't pay it!), and you can check the current status of the charges. You'll likely need to login for each separate charge. Give it a few days (especially as they'll be closed over the festive period) for the records to be updated.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
