Fingers crossed that you update us later on to say that he's feeling better.

Please get him to see someone today. Such bad pain could lead to a perforated eardrum & that is not nice at all.5

Thank you all - he's got in to see a GP later. We'll see what they have to say.

Update. Dr was very sympathetic, whilst being thorough. Added to the consensus of opinion that the initial prescription should have been oral anti-b's & ear drops that were anti-B/steroid in make-up. But we can't turn back the clock, and we're grateful for ongoing help.
DH has been equipped with a variety of potions - that, frankly wouldn't look out of place at a vets..... an Equine vets 😱I can't help but bring to mind Jones the Steam and Evans the Song trying to encourage Alice the Elephant to take her 16 pills.......... 😱 Anyhoo, DH listened to me (!) and got the medication provided by the nearby pharmacy - rather than MrT, which is convenient for everyday medicine, but a pain to get to on a Friday night at rush hour........ DH has taken the meds and retired to bed with a hot water bottle.
Fingers crossed they kick in - he's really in alot of pain ☹️
I put a version of plant-based mince with the HM tommie sauce and some of the YS'd mushrooms (minced), in the SC this afternoon, with some chopped veggies. I am currently cooking some pasta, and a version of bolognese and pasta will be for tea. At the moment, it may well be just LG and I eating, but there is some for DH as and when he can face it.
There was some tommie sauce and mushrooms 'over', so I've prepped mushrooms for a future bolognese, some prepped for a garlic mushroom pizza, and a small quantity suitable for a stew. These are in the freezer. The tomato sauce made enough for tea, another pot for something else, and 4 small pots of pizza topping. I only used half of the bag of the plant-based mince - so that is back in the freezer for another day.
We had lentil soup for lunch. I lobbed all the big hitters in it garlic, ginger, turmeric, chilli.
LG had a reasonable day at school. And it's the weekend.
Thanks for all your wonderful support and for popping by. Know that you're appreciated.

Fingers crossed that the combination of all the prescribed stuff is going to see off the lurking nasties Greying - poor DH, but poor you, too, it’s never easy watching someone you love in pain or ill.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thank you both. Yes Cheery, let's hope these do the trick, although they're big-hitters, and come with their own 'solution' in case they cause 'impaction' 🫤☹️
EH - never a truer word spoken. DH is sufficiently 'in touch' with his emotions, but doesn't cry at the drop of a hat - but was teary for example at the birth of BG 🥰, but there is something that gets me when I see fellas in tears.
I forgot to mention, the neighbour along the way - my 'seaweed' 😁 put out washing today. So i looked around for 'light' stuff and put a wash on. I pegged it out, and brought it in about 2.30pm. I was pleasantly surprised - it wasn't bone dry, and given there was next to no breeze, and minimal sunshine, it would have been impossible to get everything bone-dry. But heavens, the stuff was 95% there. It's on the airer now, and I should think it will be dry by the morning.
LG and I have munched our tea. I am hopeful we can perhaps have a HM ice-cream cone for pud.
Again, thanks for popping by. Appreciated.
