Ah, that does sound like a possible cause of the pain! Let’s hope so and LG is back to bouncing around asap.
We did have a lovely evening GP, but better food (like yours) would definitely have been nice (I had fish and chips and as always, anticipation was better than reality). We need to have a stir fry tonight to use up some bits, but I’ll have to make a dal/curry this week - I’m feeling in need!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

tmv - I love the thought of fish and chips more than the reality ☹️ and with it all being so expensive now, I get too caught up in the cost versus enjoyment - which just ruins the whole endeavour ☹️ That's my bad, I know. I just can't seem to shake it though. What are you going to make with the field beans you have grown? Would they be more suited to things like falafel, rather than using them as 'beans'. Or have I got the wrong idea of what you've grown?
Muscle strain is gaining traction the more I read around the subject. For instance it's interesting how connected the diaphragm is to everything.... Every day is a school day, even in the summer holidays 🤣

I am claiming ignorance about the cost as I sent Mr MV to get dinner! 🤣That’s a really good idea about using the field beans for falafel. They are basically very small broad beans. I was hoping to be able to dry them on the plant but with the rust that wasn’t an option (rust spores unlikely to infect anything else I’m growing currently (although I do have a lot of other beans), but may hang around and cause problems for broad beans next year if plants aren’t removed). So ultimately they were fiddly and not what I wanted. You live and learn! (Every day is indeed a school day!) The seeds were gifted to me from a stall at a seed swap I went to that was promoting seed saving - so I’ve not lost any money and I’m still very much in agreement about seed saving!
The beans have been frozen for now, but I definitely think I can use them for falafel - thank you, as they might have languished in the freezer without inspiration!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh tmv - although I don't garden as such anymore, I am a very firm advocate of seed swapping - whether through an organised event, or between plotholders. I got some seed of the perennial portugese cabbage through swapping with an allotment holder - and it was the cabbage used in the very first recipe I ever tried to make (veggie-fied it) from the hairy bikers, in their first ever show. I also have loved trying out all sorts of climbing and dwarf beans (principally for drying). I remember being gifted some red kidney beans from a fellow plot holder, but have to say, they are not worth the effort of growing, as they weren't as big as tinned, and are an added faff to cook, so in that instance, tinned trumped growing my own. But some of the names of the heritage beans are a delight, and the colours or speckles are just so lovely - each bean can be a work of art! I also love some of the culinary stories around some of the heritage beans - perhaps they are grown for only one dish, or they have a nutritional punch to last through a long winter etc etc.

Hmmmm, so just when you think you're on the right tracks with 'muscle strain', LG rushes to the loo....... So we're back to being none the wiser, or it's pointing towards something water borne, which would be disappointing and a downer on an otherwise fun time. Ah well.
Workwear is out on the line. And there is a nice breeze, so I'm hopeful it will dry today - given where we started this morning, it's better than I expected.
DH has popped out to get something for the car, and some more children's paracetamol as we're using the only bottle we have in the house.
Not too sure what to do for lunch, LG has already said they have no appetite, but we're keeping up with the nagging about taking on fluids.

Is it possible that it is constipation. I know that sounds the opposite. Some years ago DS (as an adult) after several days kept having to "dash". But wasn't going between times. The doctor gave some temp mild constipation meds & then we had a diet change & all sorted. I must say it never occurred to me it could be constipation4

On the movie front, Wallace and Gromit is on BBC iPlayer at the moment (we use a Roku stick for our very old but perfectly functioning TV).
Hope LG feels better soon, maybe just keep a slice of plain toast on a plate near them for occasional nibbling purposes."You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

I understand your counter-intuitive signs badmemory - truth is, I don't know. Yes it could be - I'm not sure how we can 'hurry up' things if it is, as whilst LG is drinking, they're not going mad, and they've not eaten much at all - so there is nothing 'new' to help things along.
I couldn't rule out that diet could be at fault, although that is less likely, but in some ways LG has been moving about differently in the first week off school, so maybe they need to move more regularly - as at school - rather than for longer, but in between sitting (ie in the car) periods.
They haven't been on any meds recently that could encourage waste build up, and it has been cooler, but I wouldn't dismiss the idea of constipation, as it's a weird set of symptoms that has floored LG - so if we can avoid it happening again, I'm open to all suggestions 👍
