I need to pot up some stuff in the greenhouse. And I should point out the thunderous clouds overhead to the OH in case he fancies getting his shirts in off the line where they got pegged out on Sunday. (I'm not allowed to touch them as I hang them up all wrong apparently. Fine by me but at some point I'll be dumping them in a laundry basket to get all wrinkled when I need to peg up some other laundry.....)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. My bark delivery didn't turn up yesterday so is now due today 🙄 not helpful as I have the school run this afternoon and it takes over an hour by the time the faffing is done 🤦♀️ I'll just have to hope that it turns up this morning 🤞
I've got my grandbaby from school pick up tonight until Sunday evening so it's going to be a busy one 😁 I'll be exhausted by Sunday night!! 😂DNF: £708.92/£1000

Insanely busy in the daytime at the moment but fitted in a lovely swim tonight, looking at the magnolia and listening to the birds as I sploshed along. Complete bliss6

The biscoff bread is really nice…much nicer than I expected. Luckily my vintage Tala measure has US cups on one of the scales. Other than that I took it slowly…Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I just went to pick up my prescription and to ask the pharmacist for advice. I dropped off two books at the free library box and saw one book I thought I would like so I took that. It is quite a nice, sunny day so I got home and hung my washing outside on the line from where it had been hanging upstairs.
I'm going to make a big salad for lunch to use up random veggies along with some type of mock meat from the freezer. If it is still warm I might eat it out in the garden.6 -
@Florafauna - the swim sounds lovely! 😁
@Valli - glad you enjoyed the biscoff bread 😁
@Wednesday2000 - I hope you managed to eat your lunch outside, it's been really cold here so no chance of doing that for a while!! 😳
I've been awake since 3am🤦♀️ not sure why, just couldn't sleep so I'm pretty tired this morning and my grandbaby has been up since 6am 🙄 I've just made his brekkie but I've had almost 2 hours of playing with tractors so far this morning!! 😂 We're off to the woods later today so I'm going to take a bag with us and collect some pinecones to go in the bug hotel we're going to make tomorrow - we looked at one in a garden centre a couple of weeks ago and it was £40!!! 😳🤯 Insane price! Ours probably won't look as nice but we'll have fun making it and it will do the job 😉
We're going to sow some seeds and plant some things this weekend too - my grandbaby loves doing things in the garden so it will keep him amused and happy 😊
Hope you have a fab slow weekend!! 😁DNF: £708.92/£1000

LATTL. I’m sure the bugs will appreciate the nooks and crannies and not be overly concerned about it’s appearance!
Need to go into work to do an hours cleaning today, then i’m not sure what the weekend will bring. Apart from ironing…it will bring that!
Hopefully i’ll get on with my knitting. Have lovely weekends all.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

We have a robin nesting in our carport again!! Different location so new nest (the old nest is still there as I couldn't bear to throw it away and didn't relocate it early enough). I'm under strict orders not to bother it so no looking at little peeping birds. Can't remember last year when the hatchlings flew off but it's been so cold so far they might be way behind the normal schedule.
It was funny as I had been asking OH to sweep out the spiky seed pods that were accumulating in the carport as they stick to the bottom of my shoes when I'm getting in/out of my car. He spotted the robin sitting on the wall watching him closely so he knew there was something going on . Since then we've seen it coming and going so know what messy shelf the nest is on. Actually if I sit at my art desk I can watch it quite comfortably through the window!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @Valli - I'm sure they'll appreciate it even if it's not home and gardens standard! 😂 Can't believe you're going to be ironing 😳 I'm sure it's a punishment for crime in some countries!! 🤣 I'm getting rid of our ironing board, it sits and collects dust - I'm pretty sure it hasn't been used for well over 3 years!!
@Brie - How lovely that you can see the bird nest from your art desk!! 😊 I guess you'll be spending a lot of time there now 😁
Today has been lovely but I'm very tired now - we played at home until about 1pm then went to the woods for a couple of hours. We walked for miles, built a den and collected lots of pine and fir cones for the bug hotel. Once we got home I prepared and cooked dinner - we've just finished eating and I need an hour or so before I go and tackle the clearing up!! 😅 Dh will bath the grandbaby in a little while and once he's sorted and in bed (and I've cleaned the kitchen!) I'm going to go to bed myself and watch some rubbish tv and snooze!!
Tonight's dinner was rocket, pomegranate, black grapes and blueberry salad with balsamic, sprouting broccoli, carrots in an orange sauce, roasted red peppers, buckwheat and dark speckled lentils - very tasty indeed!! 😋
