I wondered if anyone in here had any good ideas for storing home made bread? I've been making a loaf here and there over the past few months but it always seems to go stale within a day or two and is never as good as it is fresh out of the oven, even a few hours later. I've been wrapping it in layers of clingfilm but that feels very wasteful and I'm quite conscious that this is a very modern solution to what must be an age old problem!

Having some very slow days up here with my step dad and mum. He has done really well and it was mild stroke thank goodness. Thank you for the good wishes 🥰

Just a thought on the bread storage conundrum. I make bread and then cut the loaf in half and freeze half. Then I can just bring it out when needed.

Sounds like there’s some lovely slow times happening. Enjoy 😊
