All courts have airport style security.

Did DCB Legal say yes or no?  I would just forward that email exchange to the court and copy in DCBLegal and say the Claimant has expressed no objection so please could the hearing date be changed without need for an application, given that the D cannot attend because blah blah..

Hey, I just got off the phone to Burnley Combined Court, and they seem happy to help me change the court date, as it is quite a long time away it should not cause any problems. They requested that I send off an email to them with the request and a copy of the email from DCB showing no objection which I have also done just now. Hopefully it should work out.

Also a coulple of days ago I got a settlement payment offer from DCB for £100 off the total.

It is normal for DCBL to offer a settlement figure prior to a discontinuation. Fingers crossed

Hi there, today I received a letter from the county court 'general form of judgement order'.
    It is ordered that:
    1) Application granted
    2) Parties to file new dates to avoid (to end of year) within 7 days
    3) Thereafter case to be re-listed with a time estimate of 90 minutes on the first availbale day
    Dated 21 June 2024

I am assuming it is a letter to inform that a date change has been granted?

    Please can somebody tell me:
Do I need to file a new form for court date? Or will the court make a suitable date.
The letter date says June 21st, and asks for new dates within 7 days, but that date was June 28th which was 4 days ago.

    Many thanks

You just file your "dates to avoid".  Always add a few days either side of holidays.

The letter date says June 21st, and asks for new dates within 7 days, but that date was June 28th which was 4 days ago.
Adding five days for service, the letter was deemed delivered 26th June.
26th June plus seven days is 3rd July - tomorrow.

Phoned Burnley County Court this morning just to confirm what I have to do. Clerk asked me to submit in an email the dates which I am available and include the claim number, personal details etc. All done and sent, no fee to pay.

Doesn't give you long to do your WS and evidence then!

Can you change your thread title as I seem to recall you did recognise the vehicle (and have defended) so the title is now confusing!
