Perhaps start a new post @ozzie652 and it’ll make it easier for all the helpful folks on here to get to the bottom of this. Is heating and DHW gas or electric? An idea of what your usage in kWh has been since the solar panels were installed and compared to before would be helpful.ozzie652 said:We supposedly merged over from shell
Everything was hunky dory until then , now we have a bill of £4500 (plus we paid £2500 in last12 months), keep asking what the hells going on , just keep getting the same answers,
Promised call backs,(that never happen) ask someone higher up or technical ,they haven't got a clue,,,,,,,
Will do soon
The solar panels were fitted before we bought the house, the only new thing we've had fitted since was the oil boiler, but we are not using as because of this stupid bill
I've looked at it and the engineer and we both agree we are pulling in more or at least equal to whet we use in electric
The problem lies with octopus themselves
They don't want to know , it just falls on deaf ears with them
My wife and myself have put reviews on octopus and trust pilot,,,there are so many people on there with same stories as us0 -
Sometimes you have to sort things out yourself then get the complaint in with all the evidence.ozzie652 said:

I would be getting an electrician in with proven solar panel expertise to check and right a report on the whole electrical system of the house and where they think the issue is.
There is a lack of a succinct time line and actual readings and issues in your posts (they are all a bit emotional and devoid of fact) could you timeline the issues with actual readings and bills without the emotion?0 -
What are you "pulling in"? Your meter should show how much energy you are using, as well as how much you are exporting, that is a fairly easy thing to check and get the figures correct. Slightly confusing in that you mention an oil boiler and have not used it because of the bill, but Octopus do not supply oil?ozzie652 said:

To put it bluntly a lot of people who write negative TrustPilot reviews are idiots, their problems are self inflicted or they refuse to understand that their complaint is not valid.ozzie652 said:My wife and myself have put reviews on octopus and trust pilot,,,there are so many people on there with same stories as us
You also seem to be scattering replies across different threads which is not helpful when people are trying to get a coherent picture so that they can figure out what is going on.2
