Bossofmoney said:Hi guys late to the party. I completed this in 2022 for the full 12k and then some. Then spent on rennovations to our new house last year.
I am back on board this year, count me in for £12,000.
I am at £1,000 in emergency fund. I will be aiming to get this to £3,000 by end of July, £5,000 by end of the year.
The rest will go into regular savings account. £12,000 extra, in cash in the bank by end of the year. £11,000 to go and 8 months to do it. Lets go.Save £12k in 2024 - #2 target is £5000 only £798.34 so far

#6 reporting £964.52 saved in April.
Feeling good today as I managed to get the house insurance for £70 less than the renewal quote. Amazing what they can do when you tell them it's too high and you're sorry to leave them for a cheaper quote. It is the job that is never started that takes the longest to finish. #33 Kim_13 £925.70 for May
An unexpectedly good month again this month, though June looks as though it won’t be much at all. Mulling over what I should increase my target to in view of this.

Feels weird having spare cash that isn’t paying for a wedding. Thank you for all your kind wishes. Going to include April and May payday savings so it all tallies up, as I forgot to include that, as I get paid at the end of the month. So that’s £2000 for May please @enthusiasticsaver. It has been an interesting last few weeks of things breaking in my house, so May is going to be expensive over here.
April however was a bumper income month, so even with some shopping and extra petrol spends, my total for April is £970.12!
