Hi All,
#22
£1512.04 for March. Thanks
#224 -
A good start to April..
I have just paid in £454.10 into our joint internet saver account to round the balance up after interest paid in last week. So £804.10 for April so far and £19721.65 in total. There will be withdrawals made later on in the year so I do not expect to finish up that much over target.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. We've updated the colours in the spreadsheet to reflect where we are in relation to our targets this year. So in general, the darker your green, the better you are doing (until you exceed your target, when you go neon). The darker you go in amber, the further you are from your target assuming we all pay the same each month (as it is based on an average, unlike real life).
Only two red lines, and they are people we knew were out of the updates until this month, due to life events. And we hope all goes well with these!
The other no-shows have had been hidden (showing ready to remove if no word) and will be deleted. We have nudged them three times to remind them to update. Stuff happens, priorities change, no judgement but the spreadsheet now reflects those of us who have updated at least once since registering. Sad that some of the long-term savers have disappeared, but we never know why. It is a change from previous years but it means our tracking is more positive against the collective total with the removal of absent challengersSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I always do this, too excited to wait an extra day or two to start declaring:
#47 T2rry adding another £200 to April please
That makes £1,050 total for April from automated regular savings.
Next week I should have a little more to add and hopefully by the end of the month a larger deposit from work owed. In the meantime I've started spring cleaning by selling stuff, which is a nice incentive to get rid of excess stuff/clothes. I'm going to leave it in the receiving account until it's at a nice round number that means I can top up savings with it so hopefully that should be another addition to make later in the month too.

#56 Mrs Cautious £1317 at start of April
Hi, have sent £1317 to savings accounts. There will be more added later in April. Got everything crossed for earnings not to be too erratic. After a negative amount last month, am determined to not have the same thing happen again. I have sat down and gone through all expected income and outgoings for the month and am feeling positive.3 -
Spreadsheet updated and lots of great updates to start off the new month.
As @Suffolk_lass says those who have not posted since signing up for the challenge in December/January will be deleted later on this month apart from @Sandyra and @CreditCardJunkie who have explained that they are not in a position to save at the moment but hope to later on in the year.
