Hi savers and hope you are not too wet or cold in this miserable weather. I am back after a few days of visiting my mum and family up in the South East and we drove back in the pouring rain.
Getting my finances straight and my lovely mum has given me some birthday spending money as it is my birthday at the weekend so £200 has gone straight into my personal savings. So £1000 in total for February.
£350 Regular savers
£450 Joint savers
£200 Personal savings.
#1 February Total of £1000
There will be spare money left at the end of this month but I am going to buy my car insurance out of that and fill up my savings pots which are allocated to things. Spreadsheet updated. Thanks to @Suffolk_lass for keeping things running in my absence.

#54 2000 February
Jan has got off to a bumpy start. Lots of unexpected expenses.
Dental work for my mother and I.
Piano lessons for 3 months.
ODEON unlimited annual pass.
One off 'Gift' to mum for random expenses
Weekends away in Dublin and Luxembourg (work trip) and flights/hotel booked for Belfast and Edinburgh - sucked in by cheapo Ryan Air flights.
Forgot I had a £270 needing to be paid off on M&s credit card.
Means my current account buffer is all but gone so have tried to reign back a bit. I've cancelled the Netflix to make up for the odeon pass. Mum's now with NHS dentist so trying to get back money I paid in advance for original dentist! Rookie mistake!
Also cancelled the PureGym I wasn't using. Returned £60 unopened M&s shirts I decided I didn't need.
Still to do :
Cancel M&s club card thing I got suckered into signing up for (saving 10 quid a month).
Stop with the donner kebabs!
£4500/£25000 total saved for 20242 -
Good morning.
#45 another £56.81 added to Februarys total.
Please could I change the amount to save in 2024 to £8000. Going to be starting small job around the house that need doing and will be using some of the money I would be sending to saving to fund.
Thank you.
