Problems using Santander Banking App

I have just been invited to use the new app. It’s got some basic functions and also some bugs. Some functionality is yet to be completed. I am using it as the Beta version it is but I wouldn’t use it without the old app, or online banking, as backup and safety net.
I have never had any major login probs with the old app but I do have the latest iOS and a powerful phone
The old app and the Beta can happily co-exist on the same device, and you can use either one of them, even at the same time1 -
I've given it a try - but I'm not seeing much difference. It is brighter, with more colourful icons - but not being very visually driven that doesn't do much for me. It does feel a bit like a 'beta' version.
At the same time the original app is behaving much better now, I haven't had whirling and delays for some time.0 -
The only useful thing I have so far found in the new app is that the list of payees is now sorted in ascending alphanumeric order. They missed the opportunity to make the payee list searchable.
Nothing much else that I find better. Just a few things that I find worse, such as the showing of debit cards in the account list. I have 4 current accounts, so 4 debit cards, and a couple of savings accounts.Where I had the accounts nicely displayed on one screen in the old app, I now have to page past debit cards that I never use. There is no option I have found to re-order the accounts / cards, or to remove any of them from display. Add to this that they are wasting valuable screen acreage with icons for functions that I would rarely use. Not impressed.

I have a lot of standing orders. The Santander App does not list all of these and I have to go online for a full list.

It appears this is fixed in the Beta version. You still have to go to Online Banking to make any changes to an SO, however.
