Problems using Santander Banking App

    I have been having problems logging in for 2 months. Maybe 50% of the time.  Tried all the suggested fixes,  but any relief is only temporary. Santander were no help at all.  As far as they are concerned there is no problem with their app.  I am now using the beta version of their new app and it seems more reliable although not all banking activities are supported yet.
  • Thanks for all your replies. I have Santander online access as a back up to the App in an emergency. It would be more of a problem with an App only account eg Tandem,
  • Had no problems, so will not be trying the latest App in case I do.
  • Dear team, on a slightly different topic just spoke to Santander on the phone and he told me that from next year I could not use the telephone banking unless I used voice recognition when I told him I did not want a sample of my voice on their system he told me I had no choice , is that true can they force us to use it ?
    LBM , 2005 at home with DS , listening to working lunch everyday talking about consumer credit runing out. :coffee:

    Of course, it seems banks can do exactly as they please!

    Of course they can't force you to do anything. They can choose to do business this way just as you can choose to take your custom elsewhere.

    Legally do what? Change the terms under which they conduct business? Conduct identity checks using voice recognition? Hold a sample of your voice to facilitate such checks?

    Sometimes I am unable to log in using my Santander banking app. Get revolving circle for 20 seconds then a "oops something went wrong" message. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
    Yes I have this sometimes. To fix I just swipe to close the app (Android) and open again which works fine. Not sure if it's a new version of the app or new phone as both happened around the same time.
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • Try logging in on online banking, to see if it’s just an account issue. Then, try deleting the app and reinstalling. If it still won’t work, just contact Santander internet banking support.
