Morning all
Sharp frost here this morning. Woke up 15 minutes before my normal getting up time as I needed the loo and told the dog I was going to go back to bed to keep warm for '10 minutes until the heating (on a timer) kicks in', two hours later I wake up.... Still, I must have needed the s. I rarely lay in.
Today I need to focus on Christmas as outlined yesterday as the kids continue to nag. So this is what I need to do:- Put Mr T shopping away when it arrives. There are no subs/not availables which is good so crackers (the bangy type) will be there and one Christmas present and squirty vegan cream (has a loooong shelf-life) all bought early so I know have them!
- Compile my personal Christmas present list so the kids stop nagging me.
- Make Christmas cards (I already have the design in mind)
- Finalise C. card list
- Plan C. Saturday buffet menu
- Plan C. day menu
- Phone meat order through to butcher
- Refill indoor log store as mucho rain forecast for tomorrow
OK, the price per bag has dropped marginally, but I now need to buy three bags instead of the usual two to survive the week but that leaves me a kg over! Given they are not lasting that long (I've had some manky ones recently), there is potentially the need to throw stuff away because it's rotting at the end of the week... Hey ho... I guess I need to either feed us more potatoes or dig out some decent potato freezer recipes...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning everyone.Lovely frost ferns on your windows @Valli@Asparklierblonde glad it went well on Monday. Hope you enjoy this nativity this evening. Can't remember much of what I did yesterday (I have serious goldfish syndrome). I did ring a cemetery as I need to buy a grave for the burial of the ashes of my friend, who died earlier in the year. I left a message but so so far no one has rung back. I also rang the vicar of the church in the village in Cambridgeshire where his grandparents came from as some of his ancestors are buried in the churchyard and I discovered online that there are also memorial stones to his father and aunt there and could even see a photo of the stones (amazing what you can discover online). I wondered if they would allow me to bury his ashes there (probably not) but I rang, left a message, but the vicar hasn't come back to me yet.Another thing I did, in the evening and on impulse, was to sign up to one of the sites where you can research your ancestry. I am so annoyed that I didn't ask more questions about previous generations when the people who would have known were still alive. All but one of my grandparents died long before I was born and I don't even have photos of my paternal grandparents. I stayed up until gone 2am researching. It's really addictive, if a bit sad sometimes.I've done very little so far apart from getting washed and dressed - just moved a streptocarpus plant from the un-sunny hall to a more sunny spot (amazingly it's still flowering like crazy). I used to like cold weather but now I've decided I don't, and I am very slow to get going in it (getting old I suppose). I need to pop to the shops soon and then this afternoon it's my flu vaccination and then back to collect A to take him for his appointment with the GP.Hope everyone has a good day.

Hello. Hope you're doing great.
Just the dailies, dog walk, paid stuff and hoovering today. Went out for lunch with friends.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Hallooooo
I had a good day at work juggling three services and enjoying the challenge. Called in at DB and DSil's on my way home to drop of DSil's birthday card and present....which I'd wrapped this morning.
Then home, put on my scruffs, opened my mail, cooked my tea, Mark Harmon, played solitaire and I'm about to go to bed.
I found my cream gloves! They were in the pocket of a coat I rarely wear.Woot. Woot.
Oh. And I put the bin out ready to be emptied tomorrow.
Mega yawns occurring.
Night night

Conservatory making progress. Teabag stocks diminishing rapidly.
- went to body pump
- went to uni. Did an assessment.
- went to Mr A to get extras for friend who is a waterways chaplain - we usually make up a couple of boxes of goodies to give to the boaters, many of whom use the foodbanks.
- got home shattered. Mr N had prepared most of dinner thankfully. I tried some drum practice but was too tired to coordinate any of my limbs.
To bed I think as doubtless the tea demands will start just after 8.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Came home from work, having had to de ice the Vallimobile, made tea, (fish pie) watched a film the Shetland.
WUALTD, recycling out, binbag danced and black bin out for collection, cut stamps from envelopes and recycled them. A friend has posted a charity which wants used stamps so, finally, they’ll be going - i have a bagful. Glass caddy has been delivered - wooty wooty woot woot. Lady at council said i could use a cardboard box…but i pointed out that when i do they take that, too. All labels ready for xmas cards. Leafleted a street for work, was the street i lived on before we moved here…seemed strange to post something through ‘my’ door. Same door too. And same house number plaque…so they’ve lasted well house was double glazed before DS was born…
Telephone appt with oncology pharmacist had. Tablets being delivered tomorrow.
WM, TD and DW locked and loaded
Incidentally it’s warmer outside now than it was at 5pm

DS1 rang to say that he would not send the girls to us this afternoon as the aunt they spent Monday with has also gone down with Covid.
Today I have
- helped J the gardener clear the weeds growing in between the paving blocks on the front: it was a big job, and the front garden looks soooo much better now.
- ditto cut back the Michaelmas daisies in the neighbour's front border which I have filled with plants
- walked Rosie for well over an hour, through the little covert so that Rosie could chase the squirrels, and then to the top of the Three Fields, where I waved across the border to Dizzy.
- raked leaves off the back lawn
- booked the last available slot at the tip and dropped off 4 trugfuls of leaves and other garden waste
- dropped off 2 bags at the CS
- decided I had done enough today to warrant opening the Stollen, even though the girls weren't here to help us eat it. DH enjoyed his slice too, so I will have to buy another one for next week.
- made a rather good chicken curry for tea.
Tomorrow my diary is clear for the first time in several weeks. I might even have a lie-in.

Morning all
Very quick one from me, as soon as the children are away to school I have to attend a training course, 200 mile round trip so I am a bit nervous. Won't be home until gone 6pm after I have collected children and then need to feed animals/see to dogs/feed us so no flying!
Have fab days all x9 -
Morning all xx
Who needs sleep anyway? Tis over-rated! Noooo. Tisn't. 😴 I've had a very fitful night (is that the right word?) and been awake since 5.20 am.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, and supped a brew. I also repressurised the boiler....before it conked out! I'd noticed that it needs doing every 2 days or so, so checked the dial and gave it a boost.
I've taken my meds, completed Wordle and Connections, and charged my phone.
You OK piggers? Xx
Have a safe journey asb xx
Waggy finger iona. ( For today not tomorrow. Gold star for tomorrow 😉) xx
Take care.

This was my list yesterday: Comments as appropriate- Put Mr T shopping away when it arrives. There are no subs/not availables which is good so crackers (the bangy type) will be there and one Christmas present and squirty vegan cream (has a loooong shelf-life) all bought early so I know have them!
- Compile my personal Christmas present list so the kids stop nagging me.
- Make Christmas cards (I already have the design in mind) - design decided prototyping to happen today and final print/cut if all works well
- Finalise C. card list
- Plan C. Saturday buffet menu - ongoing but getting there
- Plan C. day menu - ongoing but getting t
- Phone meat order through to butcher - ongoing
- Refill indoor log store as mucho rain forecast for tomorrow - done, but ought to order another load - I have enough to last until Christmas I think but with bank hols etc. around that time, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Just as well I was up and dressed early today, Amazon delivery was due before 1pm. The door bell rang at 8.20 - earliest ever.
It is dark and wet and v. gloomy today so not much physical flying will be done except perhaps a WM load so I will focus on the Christmas planning.
Hope you're all well and have a good day.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
