Evening all
Typing this one hand as DS still surgically attached to me as he’s not feeling well. I have a horrid ache in the right side of my jaw which I know is due to a dodgy tooth that I just can’t afford to get sorted yet.Cockerels went, along with some hens, so that’s 37 gone now. Annoyingly I couldn’t catch one of the cockerels who was meant to go so stuck with him. Spent £4 on milk, two loaves of bread and biccies. The latter have all gone already between me and the kids! Cake recipe out on the side to remind me to bake one first thing tomorrow. Eggs out of the freezer in readiness.WM on and I’ve WUDUPA. Sleep well all x10 -

@Honey_Bear I have a spaniel who is also reluctant to go out when it's pouring with rain unless you have a lead in your hand then she's trying to dig her way out of the front door!
Soappie, that sounds like my spaniel (cocker)!!!
Post is, apparantley too short???
Blah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doesn't matter what I add......still 10 characters too short......I don't want to write an essay......

Ah rescue dogs, our old boy has been with us for 11 years and has been a challenge to say the least! We got him from Blue Cross after he was picked up as a stray and he was completely unsuitable as a family pet. By the time we realised this Blue Cross cheerfully told us that his problems were too deep rooted to sort out. He only ever bit someone once (DS when he was 14) but we had to be so careful. The boys adore him and wouldn't let him go back because they thought he would be put down so he stayed and we all grew to love him. We did sort alot of his issues but he would go for anyone who started crying!
A good day, flying has been mostly limited to laundry. The car is in the garage so we are nervously waiting to find out what that will cost. Heating oil was £638!! Did I say that DH hasn't earned anything all month? It's a good job I have put something aside.
Feet up in front of the fire, I have a good library book.12 -
Glad you're toasty, YL. Hope the car isn't going to cost the earth.
Today I have
- S&S'd kitchen and bathroom
- wrapped book gifts for my 2 littlest godchildren
- had more glaucoma tests at our local outpatients' department ( if the results are ok, I'm supposed to be discharged - but I keep being called back although nothing has been found in 5 years!)
- done shopping and bought loads of fruit
- cooked lunch, left WU to DH
- put meatballs for tea in SC
- drove 50 minutes to the horse piddle in Millennium City, where I delivered most of the fruit to the nursing staff on the cardiothoracic unit, in celebration of the first anniversary of my heart op.
- drove about 7 minutes from the horse piddle to visit the 2 littlest godchildren. Chaotic isn't a strong enough description of the household, but I survived the extreme decibels for over an hour, the children coloured in pictures beautifully (they are 4 and 3yo), and all the family were very pleased to see me, as I was them.
- drove home in the rush hour, so about 1 hour 20 minutes
- fed myself and DH, WULTD
- meant to take Rosie for a walk but didn't because I was basically shattered, and instead just flopped.
Tomorrow morning J the gardener is coming. In the afternoon I have to pick up DGD1+2 from school, feed them and take them swimming, so Rosie will get a long walk in the late morning when sunshine is forecast for this area. She is now waiting for me to give her her biscuits before I snuggle down in my bed - she expects everyone to stick firmly to her routines!
Not exactly a low spend week so far, but it was all planned and budgeted for.

Echo it's horrible what some people do to animals. I had a horse I rescued who had all sorts of issues, it was so upsetting to see his reaction to a hand reaching out to stroke him and as for vets.....
- gym swim early and long to get out of the builders' way and still having party dress in mind although I'm convinced I'm not slinky enough for it - haven't dared try.
- into c00p on the way home to get more milk and some doughnuts for the builders! And to post a couple of overseas cards I'd forgotten.
- wrote a load more cards
- labelled all the answer sheets etc for my next 3 assessments which takes me till Christmas. Put their details on a score spreadsheet and report template so I'm all ready.
- I did manage to vacuum all downstairs last night.
We now have a conservatory framework, half a roof and some of the glass windows. The plumber has consolidated 3 pipes into 1, so no need for any boxing in which the rodents could hide in/chew/climb. Just as well we are getting new vinyl on the floor as by the end of the day with 4 men walking on it through the garden to their van, in the rain, it looked .....like mud. Mr N mopped up a bit after they'd gone so we don't have any puddle areas to soak into the woodwork.
Just going downstairs again to put the DW on even though it's not daylight (solar panels) as we will need all those cups for the builders tomorrow.....Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -
Oh and I had a jolly time practising drumming to Magic Christmas on the radio!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12

Good morning all xx
Yesterday went really well, thank you for all your thoughts. Amazing what a little training can do! On my way home I called at C00p to buy sandwich bags ...on offer for less than half price so I bought 3 boxes. Also stocked up with macaroni cheese ready meals as C00ps are cheaper than Mr Al but taste fine. All paid out of my dividend.
Called to see Pops and had a pleasant hour chatting over a coffee. Actually it's more listen than chat with Pops but that suits me after a day at work.
Home, into my scruffs, tea, Mark Harmon, read a little and bed.
Today I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch eaten breakfast and supped a brew. I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling then defrost Feargal.
Stay toasty peeps ❤

Good morning all, Hope everyone is well and managing to stay warm. It's another rather cold day here but dry at the moment. I've been catching up with some of the posts and a massive well done to all those who are helping animals that have been badly treated. All the pets that I have had over the years have been rescued and it is such a rewarding thing to do although not always easy. My current cat was a rescue that I fostered and after several failed rehoming attempts I decided to keep him rather than adding to his stress.
I didn't get much done last night, as spent a while speaking to DH regarding my new job at a local vet surgery as had a meeting with them yesterday.
Apart from c/c bill, I need to try and have a low spend day as spent a lot of money yesterday on festive presents and food but I think most of the food is now sorted so just got the rest of the presents to get sorted.
My list for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Attend uni classes
Do paid stuff
Hoover the living room
Do the required exam revision (starting to get nervous about my exam on Tuesday)
Pay c/c bill
Clean the inside of the windows
Put festive window decorations up.
Update the Mr T orders with festive food as decided to go shopping with DH last night at F.W (he gets a discount on a Tuesday) so we got a lot of the festive food sorted and a few treats
Write Christmas cards
Wrap the Christmas presents that I purchased at the weekend.
Bleed the radiators to maximise heat from them now that it is colder.
Water the plants
Put the unwanted pile of stuff onto the free group to see if anyone wants any of it.
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today, hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday and manages to stay warm.

Morning All
Been up since 3am - I seem to go for a wee then not be able to get back to sleep. Very annoying. I have done the usual jobs, and have a cake in the oven. Living room fire lit.
Spent £5.85 on Vinted this morning for some leggings for DD. That brings December spend to still under a tenner which I am happy with. Unfortunately our 12v leisure battery that powers the electric fencing is kaput so that will be an expensive purchase.
DS nativity tonight bless him. Washing drying over airer by fire. Have fab days all xx10
