leed said:Hi, I am back after many years of being absent from the weekly encouraging thread.
Being 63, and finding it impossible to find another job, I feel somewhat redundant, so on a positive note I am 'signing up' and going to Fly with the rest of you and find a new purpose!!! Onwards and upwards and here's to a cleaner house!
Hello and welcome.. you are not redundant you are looking for a new adventure and purpose.. and it will come in time.. for now you have us
Ive felt the stuff in the TD .. it is dry.. I vacuumed as much of the front room as I could before the battery died.. and I put some cardboard in the recycling.. I know how to live it up!

Flylady cards are winging it to Natty's house. I've posted my 'posty' Christmas cards. Wasn't going to but I sealed C's birthday card, sealed C's Christmas card. Then couldn't remember which was which. So I posted them both plus the one other Christmas card there was to post. Only one stamp needed to post L's birthday card at the end of the week so I've got that. And I got the cash out to pay the window cleaner this month, when he comes.
Got my shopping for free at C00p- and I still have £18+ dividend left on my card. Dashit- sandwich bags. Forgot to put them on my list.
Waving hello to leed 👋 .

(((Hugs))) Valli.. it is very beautiful and I am sure your Sister would be so thankful to live on in such a way and to still be making a difference..
I am in a pickle..
Pixie was taken (DS2 took her but he is picking up Dot) to the music day after my mother volunteered to pick her up.. now she tells me she cannot pick her up so I have to pick her up and twinkle in opposite directions about 20 minutes apart.. with a 45 minute walk from one to the other.. I cannot miss pixies concert, she is always the one 'forgotten and left out' because the others have greater needs. She needs to know we will make the effort for her too.
Not quite sure what to do..

Welcome back Leed
ASB belated happy thoughts.
Needless to say it has been chaos today; 4 builders arrived just after 8 and dismantled the old conservatory by 11.30 with the help of 2 cups of tea each. It was fine-ish but damp; rained after they had left. It's cold without the conservatory as both the kitchen and lounge open to the great outdoors now. Neighbour came round twice (made her tea too) as it is her facia they are also replacing....she also wanted advice on her DH's laptop which is issuing strange codes..... Builders seem friendly, tidy and efficient so that is a good sign. Some discussion with them over how/whether the facia and also the roof will work (the latter after the plumber has been tomorrow and moved pipes). Still Mr N is on builder caring duty tomorrow while I gym swim.
Finished and emailed a report.
emailed uni pension scheme as they still haven't clarified what I asked them in June.
Wrote a load more Christmas cards. Already found two with the same name on, so will have to steam them open and see if I've mislabelled an envelope or just not crossed C off my list and written another.....
Gradually sorting out the basket of paperwork which is my in tray - 'stuff' got piled in it while we were putting up the curtains.
I now want to do some drum practice and vacuum downstairs before going out to zumba.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -

More belated vibes for ASB x
Extra hugs for Valli for today, that is a beautiful bracelet x
Hugs for Round. Just keep breathing, you’ve got this x
We had a nice long lunch today with DSiL x 2 and DBiL. Not sure how cooking, eating and clearing away one lunch took the whole day though. Still, the kitchen is tidy, WUDUPA, one load through the wm and I have made my pack up and washed my hair ready for the work week. Am now debating whether we need a Mr M delivery this week or not.9 -
Ironing all done.
Lots of logs brought in.
Fire rope has arrived but I've just seen a couple of tricks I could try first (on a Facebook group I belong) before replacing the whole rope - I'll try them in the morning when the stove is cold.
Welcome @leed
