Dog walked. We got very wet. Washing on airer. I've been doing some knitting. Just having a cuppa in peace before my lovely girls arrive and chaos ensues.
Hope you feel better quickly ASB.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning everyone
@Cloth_of_Gold Having your mother's maiden surname as a middle name is a very Scottish thing - there are well-documented naming conventions.
Hope you feel better soon ASB.
Drugs ingested (only need to take them once a day). One lot needs to be taken with or just after a meal, the other with a full glass of water so brekky time is the obvious choice.
DGD said yesterday evening that she wanted to come to my house for roast dinner bless her, but it's a no, I don't want her germs! So I said I'll drop a scone off to her later this morning - it will be well loaded with butter, jam and clotted cream.
Weather is really grim here this am, wet and dark but fortunately not too cold. I need to clean the bathroom today - there's a lot of dog hair milling around the floor like tumble weed all of a sudden!
Might go to the shopping centre again with DS later but I think it depends on whether or not this weather clears through.
Have a good day all.

Morning xx
Raining here too. I've been up a while and I've made the bed, sorted laundry into loads, set first load swishing, eaten breakfast and I'm supping brew 2.
Laid in bed I had all sorts of flying ideas going round my head, but they disappeared when I got up! I think this must be a thing - I know it's happened to me before. Every time actually. That's why my house is still a mess. As soon as I'm vertical all flying thoughts disappear. I call it idleitis.
Anyhoo. I'll finish my brew then
Round 1
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
Take empty laundry hamper upstairs
Take last few Christmas presents upstairs

Wrap L's Christmas presents
Wrap L's birthday presents
(Meeting L for brunch on Monday)
Wrap all Christmas presents
Put in bags for delivery
Put up tree
Sort Christmas cards into delivery 'piles'
I repressurised the boiler before I came down. Shrugs shoulders and call me Luigi. (Mario has the day off 😉)
I know. I'm nuts. 🤣
Get well soon to all the poorlies.
Have a good day.
Rxx

Chucking it down here as well.Thank you Soappie, I had the wood burner swept and checked over end of Oct time, it needed a new baffler plate (the metal bit at the top) which it has, every thing else is ok, I think it is the wood it is very dense, I had to use a different supplier this year, as everyone local has, the original supplier had his yard 'fired' by local twits, and lost all wood, sheds, equipment etc, he will be back in business next year, hopefully the wood from him will be ok for next winter. So far sorted kitchenSorted fireSorted catsNot too sure what I'm doing for the rest of the dayBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Do the exam revision that is on the schedule for today.
Send the form over to the farm for work.
Write Xmas cards and get ready for posting on Monday

CoG.. in the hospital they would wet flannels and micrwave them for 30-40 seconds to sterilise .. I'm sure there are easier ways than boiling in a pan.. I'd also be temted to store some in some milton if they just want sterile.. if it can be used for baby's bottles it must be fine for soaking a flannel.. is there a department nurse you can seak to the specialist nurses are far more knowledgable than the doctors and consultants and much more helpful. I do find the doctors are either very out of touch with current practices or very inexperienced whereas the secialist nursing teams are up to date and so much more help. I have offere information about many conditions which the consultants knew nothing about, research projects and new medications etc.. I'm a fun patient lol.
Arranged a return for the third time!
8 cats have eaten a full box of cat food this morning for breakfast.. hopefully it will keep them going until bedtime.. they have biscuits available all the time so won't starve but they are demanding wet food constantly and it is costing a fortune.

I’m always on the look out for a reliable Luigi, Round. I find that Mario has more days off than on…🤣
Not sure what is going on with quoting, I can’t seem to get it to work like it should. Ooh apparently my body is 9 characters too short. Whoever knew…Apologies if this posts as gobbledegook.
Anyhoo, wings well and truly fixed this morning - dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, clothes sorting, plant watering all ticked off the list. The rain has stopped, we have blue skies and howling wind.

ugh what weather
been out this morning to work, there was some putting away to do but I also wanted to make the batch of soup for tomorrows community consultation that I had promised to make - leek and potato because there are potatoes at work (and butter) and while I was doing that I was issuing leaflets for delivery around the neighbourhood...if you've got me on Facebook you'll probably have seen the ad.
So I'm back there tomorrow.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
