So glad they arrived safely and she's happy with them. I thought the lights were delightful, by the way, as each dinosaur was different. Some have ears. Did dinosaurs really have perky little ears?Christmas cake made, lots of tidying done. Two neighbours coming in to supper, which I didn't think through very carefully - the Christmas cake will be reaching the end of its cooking time while we're eating fish fingers so the smell will drive everyone mad. Not a posh supper but fish fingers are everyone's secret favourite, aren't they.Better is good enough.10

Evening ladies
Lots crossed off my list today which I am pleased about. In no particular order I have done paid stuff, tip run, home bargains trip, agricultural store trip x2, kids to dentist, x2 WM which then went in the TD and has been FUPA, put the kitchen to bed, made packed lunches for tomorrow, done a small top up shop, posted my flylady secret Santa gift and got the children to write their grandparents Christmas cards. Oh, and made brownies. Phew!
The temperature is forecast to drop overnight and we expect a sunny day tomorrow with frost. My fave 😊
The car is in the garage tomorrow for new tyres 💰 so I’ll have to juggle that around paid stuff. Also need to pick DD up for a football club she is starting tomorrow after school. Flying will be limited although I will make sure the fire is roaring before I head out.
I hope everyone sleeps well x11 -
Walk out the door. Don't turn around now cause you're not welcome any more...
Showered, washed hair and had pj's on before 6.
Notification received that parcel is ready to pick up at PO....don't you love it when a plan come together.😊

Weren't you the one who hurt me with goodbye? You think I'd crumble? You think I'd lay down and die?
I was singing as I typed BTW. So. Today. Late up, half hour weights done unenthusiastically. Breakfast, shower and off to a house viewing with DSGF. Spent half an hour with DS over the phone trying to help him with tenancy application. 8hrs paid stuff done including a tricky meeting. Got home at 8.40pm.
ASB would be proud. I bought a jumper online then decided it was expensive for what it was and I don't need it so took that to the post office in my lunch break to return it. I also posted an Ebay parcel, £50 made from a phone that I don't use.
Can't get my head around Christmas prep at the moment. Flying has been limited, washing over the airer again!11 -
Oh no not me....I will survive
Crawls in on page 3, having missed much of last week somehow.
Busy but pleasant weekend: Kew Christmas festival (cold but lovely) on Friday; lake swim (ditto but took way longer to warm up afterwards) then off to friends in Suffolk to help celebrate their wedding anniversary. Stayed overnight. Flying i.e. helped them prepare party food (took my famous chocolate cake) then clear up afterwards. Sunday we returned and final bit of flying at home to welcome visiting friend who left this morning. House had been pretty much cleaned/tidied before she came. So now to today:
- zumba x 2
- almost finished a report
- printed off new student details for next week; I don't have one this week so can catch up a bit.
- have started looking through The Big Give for charity presents - it starts tomorrow at noon.
- very small bit of drum practice
- helped Mr N with vehicle breakdown cover via TCB as curiously his computer wouldn't play. £66 cashback!!
Had hoped I would achieve more today but time flew.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
lol at you lot doing Gloria Gaynor!
i have sorted the kitchen, packed up the rest of the sc stew, (was very nice and was a Valli and Valligirl co-production). I have taken steps towards completing two tasks. I have been swimming. Jumper sewn up. Hairdresser booked for tomorrow. Mouse removed. (alive). Have discovered mice are living in the garden near the rabbit hutch and nipping in to help themselves to snacks…and getting caught. I had suspected as much but now they have been seen so I KNOW now.
Swiiming stuff rinsed, DW and WM locked and loaded. planning on pegging out washing tomorrow. Bought a heated throw …heating to be on much less tomorrow muhahahaDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
