@f0xh0les I for one would love that duvet set and I'm a full grown adult!
@ditty1234 have you tried spekyfoureyes? Recommended in Martin's weekly email years ago and do excellent glasses at extremely reasonable prices! There's another online one who's name I forget but was also recommended by MSE.
NSD number 2 today and also managed my daily yoga practice that I'm aiming for.
Got up early despite no alarm, was feeling a bit chilly. Did my nails and watched an episode of The Crown, then wrapped up warm to go and see my share pony. Ended up with too many layers and was actually very warm (shouldn't complain in this weather!). OH and I went to the farm shop to grab a little treat for lunch, he ended up paying. Did a little life admin, hoovered, dyed my roots and have just had a nice hot bath before dinner. All in all a nice end to the week.8 -
Achievements today: all 🤮 bedding clean, I washed the pillows with zoflora and cancelled the spin, then drained and spun on 600 then put them on radiators. They have kept their shape!
Moved on to the actual laundry laundry - 4 loads and plenty more pending.... because they all cleaned their pits, and I hoovered the top two floors and the bathroom finally seems to free of it's sheen of brick dust.
Watched the ⚽⚽ and will hoover down to the bottom step and do the rest tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for not having to go out, for messages from friends, for time with dc, for fairy lights, for being warm and snug and safe inside.

Ready for bed tonight already! Unloaded a large car bootful of logs and barrowed them up the garden to the woodshed, then tidied some of the garden stuff away. Finally had room in the garage for the bbq thingy - it has been covered up with a bin bag up to now. Moved a fig tree in a large pot too. Although the weather has been much milder today, I notice the little patio pond still has a layer of ice on it.Also did both dog walks.Finished up some leftovers for dinner.Still on NSD 1 as today I bought some milk for my brother, a birthday pressie for little 6 y o GS, and a new woolly hat for me. I currently have two - a really ratty old one which is only really ok for gardening, and another, nice one, which is sadly too big and flops over my eyes. Not good when a person is trying to wield a dog poo bag, keep dog under control and avoid dropping their glove into a puddle
That one can go to the CS tomorrow, along with some other bits that I have sorted out. Hopefully someone with a bigger head than me will love it, as it is a gorgeous colour.

Today was NSD 1. There were 3 places I wanted to go to, but it has rained non-stop since 9.30 and I stayed home instead so that the DS's actually cleaned their own rooms instead of me raiding them while they are out at school. Even if it took soooooo much longer for them to do it themselves.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Took Mum to a local village Christmas street fair. It was so cold but we enjoyed looking at all the handmade crafts and foods.
Mum was pleased as she got a Christmas greenery centrepiece to put on my dad's grave instead of a wreath. It has different berries, poppy seed heads, variegated holly and fir. Very pretty.
I got a handknitted loopy scarf for my friend then we had hot mulled wine and a pub lunch. Lovely that so many people had done window displays, it really felt Christmassy for the first time. Great to see the event being well supported.
Took a parcel round to next door as it had been delivered to us by accident. Luckily they were in as I didn't want to leave it outside.
My son came over at teatime to do some jobs for us. He mended a kitchen drawer, hung a vintage mirror, adjusted a picture and got the Christmas tree and decorations down from the loft for mum, then replaced the rear brake light bulb on my car. Such a good lad and willing to try and fix anything.
Uniform ready to iron and dinner leftovers packed for work lunch tomorrow. (Used up a fajita kit bbe 2022, so glad that's gone). Vac filter washed after my niece borrowed it and it stank of dogs every time we used it. Glad that's finally done.
Still no NSD but i live in hope. Bought a voucher for my niece. Bought some fabric glue to try out when making my Christmas decorations. Just got to get on and make them now!
Trying to read a few pages of my book every night before bed. Need to read more often to reduce my book pile.
Wishing you all a good week. X

🤣😂🤣 @f0xh0les, I love it!!
Great place at @grandmanerd. Some things reminded me of what I'd done in the past, especially the wrapping up of outgrown toys for the next child.
Finally on NSD#1, woo hoo!
Wrote a few cards for posting south, then once DH was up for the second time (he has his tablets at 8am, then goes back to bed til his next lot at 10, at the weekend). Very frosty out, but we wrapped up & walked 8 miles. Haven't done this route for a long time & had wanted to do it before the end of the year.
Sewed 3 coats then - new strings on a duffle coat & 2 new zips. Read my book on the settee, then more in the bath (nodded off in there too lol).
The architect is coming next Saturday. Double happy birthday to me then 😃
Grateful for a longer walk, time to read, an icy puddle looking like it had an elf's face in it, another step closer to a potential extensionUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Good evening ⭐
Just sneaking in with today's post. Thanks for your post on empathy yesterday grandmanerd - the quote and sentiments were quite... beautiful 😚
Loving the bedding f0xh0les. I think seeing that would take me straight back to being a kid again at Christmas haha. I bet he will love it (even if he complains... secretly inside he will be a little bit excited haha!).
Yesterday finished off with my cleaning. Was the biggest clean I've done since I moved here. I tried re-arranging stuff... but my apartment is so small - I realised how I have it now is the best lay out. I was going to try and sort my journals out this weekend - but decided that it can be my project for the month! I want my goal setting to be well considered, and have time to test out what works. Also would like to have a proper clear out of things I don't need/things that don't bring me joy.I liked the post today about giving something back each day. I'm going to give that a go.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Lovely welcome and cuddles from my sisters doggies
2) The amazing staff at the home where Mum lives.
3) Time spent with Mum and Dad, and my Sister
Yesterday = NSD number 1
Today = spend day (ran out of tealights!)
See you all tomorrow. Still no snow here though does feel pretty cold tonight 🥶⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐
