Very cold north of the border but no snow yet although my poor little plants are looking decidedly frozen.
So Day 1. Banking done, been to the hairdresser, handed a bag of groceries into the church for the homeless mission (cousin is putting up the Christmas tree and decorations), bags packed, ready to go
Stamps arrived from Royal Mail (I am not standing in a queue at the Post Office). I think I'll leave the Christmas tree and posting of cards until I come back. It should still be enough time. Although the lovely cousin's were all late last year as they were delivered via Inverness. People kept phoning her to ask if she'd moved.
Himself has been to the butcher to collect the square sausage and potato scones. Now that is the most important thing. My little friend from Liverpool would be devastated it I didn't bring his potato scones!!!!
So, so looking forward to getting away. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -

Good evening turtles, pinch punch first of the month and all that jazz.
Was rather chilly here first thing so I caved and put the heating on for a bit longer than I would usually. Did a workout and some yoga which helped warm me up a bit, then got the hot water bottle ready before I sat down to work!
Motivation was super low today and I couldn't stop procrastinating. It's becoming quite an issue, although I do have a week's worth of lunches cooked and ready to freeze now instead!
Small spend day as needed a couple of bits that were unavailable with the online shopping order yesterday so I walked to the local shop after work to get them. I also ordered a nice 70th birthday card for my mum and an Xmas card for an aunt who lives abroad. May not reach her in time but fingers crossed.
Also got a refund for an item that went missing, Very accepted that the tracking information showed it had been returned to their warehouse even though their customer service rep told me that that was wrong and that everyone was lying about it being undelivered! At least I don't have to waste time writing a complaint now.9 -
Today was not an NSD. I paid the Plumber for the new boiler and cylinder. Ouch, but a 12 year warranty soothed it a little bit.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for not having to get dressed and being able to wallow in bed, for paracetamol, for the Dr renewing my prescription so I'll not run out of antibiotics over the weekend, for about 5 minutes of snow, for dh deciding to go out on his annual jolly down in Brighton with work colleagues from aeons ago (and he'll be grateful that we live on the night bus route later on!).

Felt pretty grotty all day, so no spending was easy. Hope the rest (nsd) are as easy. Did take Miss giddychops for a very long walk, lots of crunchy ice under foot.
love 🐞

No snow on our island, but -3°C this morning, so the car was frozen solid!
My Friday pupil was off, so in with the 5 year olds again. Felt bad for fibbing to them, but it worked & stopped a tantrum by pretending the motion sensor on the wall was a 🎅 cam 🤣. They then noticed that they were all over the school, so will see how long it lasts for! Nipped for carrots & milk before coming home.
Tidied a little bit. Met DS3"s GF briefly, along with a couple of his friends, gave them a lift to the village to see the tree lighting, then picked up 2 ofy friends & went to a fundraising bingo. The money is for a children's hospital, they raised quite a lot.
Grateful for DH helping to defrost my car, the teacher letting me have a 5 mins break when everything was happening all at once, fun at bingoUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
