The complaint to the car park company was done via email ... They would have answered via email, not sending stuff to my old address right?
Please forgive me for suggesting this, but that is a rather naïve point of view.

If a rogue parking company can find an address for their victim where they are pretty much guaranteed not to receive a reply, then that is the address they will use.
That will allow them to file a court claim, the claim goes unanswered, a Default Judgment gets issued and the poor victim Defendant then owes a significant sum before knowing anything about it.

That's a costly mess to unravel.

In other words, please don't assume that a parking company will do the right thing.

Thanks for sharing KeithP. I must admit I am surprised with this... That suggests that any previous cars that I owned, every places that I lived are potentially something that carpark companies could use to make money without having to prove anything....

So the complaint I have done with BPA might not be valid as the carpark company might have sent something to an address that I am not living at whilst all the complaining process was done via email?

At the minute, I only got an acknowledgement email from the carpark company that they will answer back within 28 days AND a response from debt collectors saying they are looking into my case and that they've put on on hold at the minute after I challenge the £160 amount.

Yep.  Money for old rope.  It's a billion pound industry nowadays.

12 million private PCNs per annum now.

Half a million parking claims per annum, by my estimation.  90% go undefended.

Guess why?  Yes, in our experience of helping people unpick secret CCJs they found out about too late, it's mostly due to deliberate or negligent use of old addresses. CCJs are what the bulk litigators want.

NEVER LEAVE A PPC WITH TWO ADDRESSES TO CHOOSE FROM,

    Thanks Coupon-mad.

Just to check: is my complaint to BPA not valid then as carpark company might have send response to old address?

    Thanks again all

Look, you now have only 6 months left to time this out (they can't sue after 6 years).  A BPA complaint is a perfect bomb to disrupt them.

Have you replied to the LBC?  As the second post of the NEWBIES thread explains with an example?

    Hi coupon-mad.

    Thanks for your response.

I have replied to the LBC as per suggestion challenging the £160 and requesting more time. I also mentioned about the fact I was in dispute with the car park company too and was waiting for their response.

I only got an email from CST saying they were going to come back to me.

I will go check my old address though and then email for erasure.

    Thanks again

And THEN do the PPC complaint, then after that, BPA complaint.  One thing each month.
