    Evening all,

First, I would like to thank you for pointing out to me direction for my case.

I have been and still going though the CST law thread.

I am preparing a a response to send to CST.

I just wanted to ask: the letter of CST says that : 'I have failed to settle the amount owed to PPC' whilst I actually did contact PPC. Is it something you would challenge in the response?

Also, would you challenge the amount as I have read many threads that £160 is excessive?

Something I forgot to mention, prior getting that LBC letter, I had a another letter asking to respond within 7 days (as seen on other threads)... When received, that would mean I only had 1 day to respond... Something to challenge?

I also found some email address for cst/credit style ... Anyone to confirm they got a response after emailing those? Or should I sent a letter on the safe side?

    Thanks again for your support.
Hi, as you are looking throuth the CST thread, you should notice one thing,.. there is one question they always fail to answer ... that is the fake scam they have added

Of course if this does end up in court, they will have to answer a judge and a judge will be very upset if they have failed to provide you with requested information

Again, reading the CST thread you will see that CST scammed people in Scotland, 100's OF THEM .... on behalf of UKPC and ended up with egg on their faces.

CREDIT STYLE were investigated by the SRA AND the SRA should investigate them again for their misleading letters and the scam they purport ... THE FAKE £60

CST are one so called legal that makes the SRA LOOK LIKE A JOKE

Just email it.  The NEWBIES thread LBC section already says NOT to send a letter.

Do what the NEWBIES thread shows. Please don't change the wording nor add stuff ranting about the added fake DRA fees.

The LBC response letter is pretty much already written for everyone, and you quoted it already.  Don't overthink it.

Also for this week, and this won't take long; p
lease give your views and threatogram letters evidence to this Justice Committee Inquiry:

We encourage you to tell them this (in your own words please because everyone using a template for these submissions would be appalling):

Please attach REDACTED versions of your threatograms and tell the Committee that parking firms need controlling by a new 'parking pre-action protocol'.

Parking Cases should be kept out of court. Needs an ADR to resolve them fairly.  And six years is too long.

SAY THAT. In your own sentences.!

You don't have to answer all the questions.  Some are not relevant to a person submitting evidence of pre-action aggressive letters only.

    Evening all.

I hope you had a good Christmas.

I received a reply from credit style saying they will come back to me with a response soon... Even though my letter was addressed to CST law!

Also, just a quick update: email info@creditstyle.co.uk and contact@cstlaw.co.uk that are suggested in the CST thread have come back to me undelivered as 'not in use anymore'.

So I used their contact form to submit the LBC response requesting 30 days for debt advice and also challenging the £160 fine requesting details of their calculations.

Also, it has been a month and a half since putting a formal complaint with carpark company... Which was supposed to respond within 28 days ...

    To be continued...

Thanks again for your support, it is much appreciated.

If they haven't responded to a complaint, report them to the BPA.  Your aim is to get this case past the 6 year limit. Drag it out with complaints and deliberately slow responses to CST.
The car park company used to be 'Care parking' newly named 'Ocean parking' which is part of Anchor service limited.

    Hello everyone.

    Happy new year!

Going through forums I noticed that some carpark companies are not members of a trade association.

Not sure if ocean parking is part of a trade association and was wondering if that meant they got my information legally?

I mean thinking about it, I no longer possess the car (sold it in 2018), moved house a couple of years ago... and wondered how did CST managed to find my address to send me that LBC.

Is it fairly easy for them to find and access your information? Is it legal?

I'd thought I'd ask you as this might be something for me to investigate.

    Thanks for your continuous support.
  • Ocean Parking is a BPA AOS member. You can check the list here: https://www.britishparking.co.uk/bpa-approved-operators

You can check the IPC list here: https://portal.theipc.info/aos-members

But there are plenty of ways to find people without recourse to the DVLA. And you’re quite lucky that they did because the alternative would be for the LBC to go to your old address, followed by a claim form and a default judgment. That could still happen unless you send an erasure request to Ocean and their solicitors (if the LBC came from solicitors) requiring them to erase from their records any address apart from your current one.

The email address for Ocean is DPO@anchorgroupservices.co.uk

You can find the solicitor firm’s data protection officer email address with a simple Google search.

You should add a proof of your current address (such as a vehicle registration document).

The email can be as short as:

    ”Dear Sirs

    VEHICLE NUMBER [          ] YOUR REFERENCE [           ]

Please note that my only address is [            ] and erase all other addresses for me from your database. I have attached proof of my current address to show that I am the correct data subject.

    Yours faithfully,”

Repeat if you move house again before this case  is resolved.

Make sure that your car registration at DVLA is always up to date.

Anchor Security Services (t/as Care Parking and t/as Ocean Parking) will have obtained your data from the DVLA. They are BPA AOS members. They can legitimately pass on your data to debt collectors. CST will have used a widely available tracing service, which for bulk users costs around 30p a pop.

In which name (of the two t/as outfits) was the original Notice to Keeper issued?  If the current correspondence is in the name of Ocean but the NtK was in the name of Care, their might be a bit of mileage if a court claim is issued by the 'wrong' PPC. But let's get there before disappearing down that rabbit hole.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Are you saying that after selling a car 5 years ago and moving home after that they could judge by default?! With me not knowing anything about those PCN's...That's crazy !

As I never received the PCN, I can only refer to the debt collector letters and the car park company is referred as 'care parking'.

Which has been rename 'ocean parking'. So I could only put a formal complaint with ocean parking... Which still hasn't responded even though their acknowledgement email said that they will respond no later than 28 days after initial email !

Yes, if you fail to follow our advice and do the two erasure notices, they could use the old address for a court claim behind your back.

    Selling the car is irrelevant.

How are you suppose to update an address if you're not aware of the situation?

I mean, they have find my actual address so wouldn't look odd if they were starting to send things at an other address?

Shall I let the car park company and debt collector know about the change even though debt collector are sending their letters to my actual address?

Also, I've complained to BPA as suggested earlier for non compliance...
The complaint to the car park company was done via email ... They would have answered via email, not sending stuff to my old address right?

Thanks again for sharing your experience with me.
