In the private parking sector, only a cheque stops them.

Yes but you're slightly beyond that stage, having had a pre-action protocol letter and form.

Have a look at what the newbies thread says to do now.

Debt collectors in industries like the Gas, are regulated .... the circus clowns in the parking industry are NOT regulated so whatever they do or say WILL BE TOTAL RUBBISH, LIES and just raw sewage talk

You never contact them, the idiots are powerless.

Hi all.

So just that I get this right (tbh I am struggling), I did sent last week a complaint to the parking company stating that I never received anything but the debt collector and therefore that they failed to notify me... Ect.

I got a response that they will come back to me within 28 days. 

I thought that the debt collector should put everything on pause whilst the complaint is under investigation by the parking company?

CST Law often act as powerless debt collectors.
They also act as solicitors.

You have shown us an LBC from CST, who in this case are acting as solicitors. You should therefore follow the advice in the NEWBIES concerning an LBC

I was not aware they could act as solicitors.

Question: the suggested letter on the newbie section mention about getting more time whilst seeking legal advice.

Would you mention about the fact that a complaint has been filed with the parking company for failing to send PCN within 14 days (only heard about this 5 years after) and that therefore they should put my case on hold?

I mean, I haven't even gone through any stage before this as I never heard about these till now... straight debt collectors letter! Shall I send SAR to PPC too?

Thank you for your support... I must admit I am a bit stressed because of this.

They didn't have to send it within 14 days and in the LBC section of the NEWBIES thread, I link an example robust response to cover non-POFA cases like we assume this might be.

Ocean have never sued any motorist that we've ever heard about.

The example response is there already.

It's not about whether they sent them at all.  They would have done.

You've quoted two example LBC responses.  Have another look at them both.

They are there to stop us having to do this piecemeal on threads - it's very hard doing this in our own time, without needing to repeat what's already in the resource thread.
