Such a relief. I got myself in a complete panic over it to the point I was constantly waking in the night with it on my mind.
I'm not going to buy new trousers yet as while these are slipping slightly - they are fine around the house or if I wear a long enough top. I don't want to over-buy in the next size down - and I have red pair of trousers in a lower size that I can do up but wouldn't be comfortable to sit in yet for long periods - but which hopefully will be my next target. I have one comfy pair of new turquoise trousers in a lower size that I will take with me - and may throw in some leggings - but I think I'll mainly wear cropped trousers or dresses as the weather should be warm. My cropped trousers still fit. I measured a top in the same style against one I'd worn & washed less it was over an inch smaller - so it was its £3.50 quality that was an issue rather than me.
I bought a new sundress with pockets £22, a v neck top £2.20 in the sale and a £6 cami in size 16!! (I started the year at 20-24.) I also bought 3 bras for £20 in MnS in the next size down and lots of knickers for £32 (some at an outlet and some full price). Woohoo!! I'm starting to believe I've lost weight and will keep it off as I keep going up and down a few pounds but am maintaining fine despite still having some treat food. It appears that my waist is still shrinking even if I'm not actively dieting. Tomorrow when I go to the postponed art class I should be able to drop stuff at a nearby charity shop - so I want to gather my various bags and make sure they exit the house.
I bought a bigger suitcase today from TK £60 (RRP £150) and a matching rucksack £17. I've packed my walking poles although I still need to work out how to use them. Not quite finished packing - as I have a load to go in the dryer that I need a few bits out of. Once I've finished working out everything I'm taking - I need to print a few more things - and do myself a checklist so I don't forget anything important. I printed my other hotel reservations earlier - and my concert ticket and city tourist card proof - but will print my boarding pass just in case too. It's starting to feel real now...
