Makes sense to get someone specifically to help you with the non cleaning tasks obviously be mindful not to create too much chaos but hopefully as you get more unpacked and decluttered that will stop or at least become less overwhelming.

Thanks TG and Jwil. I rang and got extension for report by 2 weeks as my helpers haven't yet helped!!
Feel utterly wiped today and finished slightly early as brain mashed as worked very intensely this week to meet deadlines.
I'm going to carry on fence painting in a bit and soothe my brain. I hope to get to a beach this weekend to make the most of the weather.
I've texted the handyman on his plans but no response yet.
DD has a special birthday and I belatedly thought of ideas last night to make it more special....but I have left it a bit late as it's Monday and I'm not due to see her then.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

As the kids get older birthdays and gifts get more flexible, as long as you say something on the day mine don't mind when the present (often cash these days turns up).
Well done on managing your work deadlines - after a period off its a balance of getting back to normal and taking a bit more of care of yourselfI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Interesting about wearing make up - I think for me it improves my self esteem which in turn makes for more of a general glow.
I need to refine and refresh my make up collection and narrow it down to products that work for me which in turn will make it quicker and easier to put on make up.

Since my early twenties I have only ever worn eye makeup. Ever seen freezer burn on a chicken think of that on your cheek. Unfortunately to put eyemakeup on you actually need to be able to see your eye. The only time I regret not being able to wear contacts. I have always slopped a lot of cream on my face though & alot of other places. Including my hair before washing. Cures that stress head itch.

Well I did nothing last night on the fence - I got sucked into digital photo files instead - and have struggled to narrow down my choices so not much further forward on DD. I spent a lot of time on that today as well. I see, to have some years missing... I don't know if that's because it was a gradual shift to digital and I need to find physical photos or what... or whether somehow they were all on Ex's computer instead of mine... I have multiple boxes of sentimental stuff but must admit I avoid them...
I was hoping to narrow it down to 21 photos - but currently at the more like a few hundred photos... I'm due to see DD and her BF tomorrow now - and we're going to the beach - where there is also a very nice ice cream shop. I still haven't really sorted her card so potentially going to give her a joke card and perhaps follow up with a real one at some point. I have wrapped a few items - but I sent her her real gift of some £ yesterday as she was going to the hairdressers today.
I have painted the fence again this evening while listening to a story. Quite a few of my azaleas and rhododendron are now in flower and given they are some of my faves that makes me very happy. I've moved them around a bit so their pots and them contrast nicely against the fence. Should only have touching up of fence paint left to do now.
