Sounds a fun and lovely weekend
great advice from everyone on the spends
I also find a cc even when I pay zero interest by paying off each month - my spends still go up .I am still reeling from my track everything q4 2023 - ouch ..
at least now YNAB is doing the tracking for me but due to no real payments the last 2 months it’s currently yelling at meDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP, DIA, Jwil, Lucielle, Sandy and Blackcats
Yes it was a really positive time. The kids are cute if full on with 3 of them!! I very much needed a go slow day yesterday and even though I've worked today still felt on a bit of a go slow.
Just watched a gorgeous film with lovely music on Am**** called the Tape. Loved it.
Sandy - I've seen little thrushes hopping around too and robins. The starling seem to come first thing but the other birds come too. I've not noticed bird poo particularly but my grass wasn't in the greatest condition to start with. I'm more worried about my cat catching one of them... It keeps leaving me gifts outside the back door but thankfully none have been birds yet since moving here...
I watered the garden and my pots. I also had a counselling session today.
I need to box up the returns - put the right bits of paper inside and outside etc. That is the starting point... The return itself is a separate activity. Printing the labels was step 1. Achieved that much.
This evening after work I nipped to the shop. I've bought some make up, a few household items and some food. I'm hoping to start making myself wear makeup more often - and see if that also boosts my confidence and encourages me to go out more... Whatever works... Want to make the most of losing weight - and encourage myself to continue that. I put a top on today that felt really loose which was encouraging. Definitely having non scale victories.

Sent £200 to savings today. Received over £41 in interest. So passive income this pay period has been £143 - but likely to be at least £20 less next month as some of that was the crossover period from when moved savings around.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Great amount of interest! Good non-scale victories as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3
