Thanks Jwil, EH, TG and Lucielle
I promise I really will return the shoes soon. I want that £292 back on my card - there's less incentive to rush though as its on a 0% card. One pair has a 30 day return window the other two a 90 day one...
DS is up for a visit so that's really good. My hairdressers has been able to accommodate me shifting the date. I'll need to take a day off work but it's the long weekend so that will be nice anyway. I should have been full time that week - but I'm actually due to take 3 days off that week now so first full week back will be June.
I still need to arrange for someone to go with me to my concert mid June. DS is going to be abroad - I'm utterly gutted (but have known for over a month) - but he's got a new job and it's due to that. The new job should mark a financial step change for him so pleased in regard to that. I've asked someone else but they haven't confirmed yet. If she doesn't come I may even sell the tickets as there's no-one else I fancy going with as I need the person to be confident and calming as I'll struggle enough being there as it is. But its P1nk and I've always wanted to see her live! The person I asked is struggling currently and doesn't feel able to commit yet.
My priority this week other than working is to return my review form. It has to be returned by the start of next week. I'm waiting on supporting letters currently. One is due to be delayed as they are dealing with a bereavement but I'll mark that as to follow. My sis is also reviewing my updates and cutting it down as I tend to write too much. I've asked for stuff back today or tomorrow but as long as I post recorded delivery Friday I should be okay.
Dilly dallied long enough over lunch. Best get back to work. Good job I worked later yesterday as don't want to extend my day today!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I have been P!nk live at Wembley we had VIP tickets with a lounge before and after out of this world. The show it self was amazing and I am not really into music but wow that lady is something. She does regular shows so unless you are happy with the person you are going with I would postpone. Sounds like it would be a real son/mother thing to do in the future. We got stuck leaving the venue as some girls were fighting on the platform and my friends waited for two hours to leave the car park (she had a blue badge). That was a bit stressful I must admit.

Thanks TG and Ohsh...
Shoes returned!! So £292 should be returned to my CC in the next few weeks.
I went to an outlet mall after work. I got some more vouchers through the post today for £14. I can only assume they award the vouchers - and don't count refunds - as that was the card I originally paid for the flooring on!! I've barely used it since. It paid for some pink summer PJs - long trousers with a lacy cami. I had to change down for a smaller size than I expected which was positive. I already had £4 in vouchers I found the other day - so it only cost me £2.10 real money. I tried a few clothes on at more expensive shops with mixed results but none were worth the price tags.
I had a McD before setting off to come home.
I have a deep red rhododendron starting to flower at the front in a pot along with pots with some remaining tulips, vivid pink azalea, white primroses, pink hellebore, pansies, rosemary and forget-me-nots. A white cistus is starting to flower. Out the back I have aubretia flowering in the ground and in pots, saxifrage in white and red equivalents, polonium purple flowers, pansies, white grape hyacinth and a deep blue, rosemary, lavender, busy lizzies, purple aquilegia (that was already in the soil), a red and yellow broom (that was already here), geraniums, marigolds, lobelia and more forget-me-nots... The garden is coming along and it being so full of flowering things - even those still in pots - is definitely making it nicer to sit in the back of the house. I have breakfast and lunch there most days and watch the birds. It will be even better when my cloudy patio door is replaced in June.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Beanie.
I've booked an air place with 2 bedrooms for when I go down and see DS. Really pleased as it means he can stay with me if he wants to or we can use it as a base to go out and about without disrupting his flatmate. It was cheaper than most of the b&bs I was looking at so seems positive. I'll also look into insuring him on my car again for a couple of days as by the time I've driven up I'll be past it.
I'll look into options for the cat but worst case could leave him a couple of nights he just won't like it.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
