I quite like some bamboos, in the right place, but those are nothing special and located where they are, they must suck up a lot of light and I get the impression that they are in a prime location for where you want to plant nice things ….?
Love your pots 😊 proper splash of colour. Good to hear your energy is returning too 😊

Yes the Bamboos are in a prime location. I'm also scarred from my last place where I paid a fortune to have it dug out after it crossed over from a neighbour's garden. I prefer more variety, preferably evergreen and things that flower as my back drop - and then hopefully plant some other pretty more seasonal stuff in the foreground.
I've made art this evening - just simple mixed media abstract stuff (mix of pen and paint) but lots of fun. I've also put up 3 Easter cards from the littles at the weekend.
I have put one lot of washing away from last week. Still need to put today's washing away but progress. I've emptied a cardboard box that was taking over my lounge. Maybe tomorrow I'll even try hoovering. The handyman is due back tomorrow so hopefully lots of progress will be made.
I ordered myself a new ottoman bed today - A grey upholstered one. I've had my eye on it since Xmas. I put it on my 0% CC (but still have savings to compensate but would prefer to earn interest). Got lots of money off in the sales - plus found a random 7% off voucher code online too just before I placed the order. My current bed will go in bedroom 2. I'll need the handyman to resolve that too. In future I may replace the then spare bed base with an ottoman but it was too expensive to do all at once.
I may need to either move a 6 drawer chest or sell it. Ideally I need to list a table and a couple of other cupboards on FBMP - but I was too nervous to do that living alone and in a new place last week. I would prefer the handyman to help me rearrange the garage. Then I could put the surplus furniture in there and let any FB people collect it that way rather than risk letting strangers into my main house. Will see what happens.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well today has been really productive. Definitely improving my stamina and fitness. It makes such a difference being able to eat again too. The weather was also unusually warm this morning and early afternoon although it then suddenly went much colder.
Had SW friendly meals:- Porridge within SW allowance
- Home made chilli con carne with 5% fat minced beef and jacket spud
- About to have gammon with (1 cal spray) roasties from yesterday and some veg from the freezer
Hydration: Water and decaff coffee
Handyman has (with occasional help and lots of direction from me):- Rewired a socket that was hanging off the wall and attached my H1v3 to the wall instead of it hanging loose
- Changed a dimmer switch
- Hung my new kitchen clock
- Rearranged my understairs cupboard (it now has some archived work stuff, Xmas stuff, tool stuff - and there's still some space for other things. It has a very low roof though so easy to clock your head on)
- Rearranged my shed (moved stuff the roofer left like wood batons and fascias and roof parts into the garage) and that enabled me to hang up some tools and fit other things in the shed like 2 strimmers (I've no idea why I have two. They both have wires - and I'd prefer a battery one), the battery lawn mower etc plus a huge bag of perlite (roll eyes - bought far more than I ever needed as it was cheaper that way!??! Must remember to mix it in with my potting mix next time I do a new pot!)
- Rearranged my utility area - moving out two cupboards into the garage that I plan to list on FBMP. I've taken photos. Just need to list them now
- Rearranged my garage - moving some stuff to the shed or understairs cupboard or the utility area. Emptied a box of books into a bookcase/dresser (novel concept). Collapsed a crate and a bookcase. Put the things I'm mostly likely to use near the front
- Brought in my old kitchen table from the garage (I now need to clean it before he reassembles it). Next time he comes he will dismantle the table I got for free with the house and get rid of it as it is too big for the space. We'll then put a glass top back on my old one so it looks better. (I've got teal metallic paint liberally on it - I think I have a white plastic table cloth somewhere that I could put underneath the glass top so it looks better)
- Brought in my old FF from the garage (I now need to put its shelves back in and its plastic baskets which will free up some space in my utility/inner store. The movers had put it on the van while I was still cleaning them and so the freezer baskets have been taking up extra room since! I may sell it yet - but the starting point is bringing all the parts together)
I used the fact he was here when he was working in the kitchen - to make myself clean the kitchen counters and hob. They were disgusting but are now sparkling however briefly, I was able to sit on my office chair to do that so no excuses!! I desperately need to do something about the floors. After he'd gone I lay down on the sofa for a bit. I then went out and cut up all the bamboo so it would (just) fit in my garden bin. I now need to buy a permit so it will be emptied. Hugely productive day though. I'm absolutely thrilled.
Sadly however a damp patch has arrived on the kitchen ceiling - we assume from the wet room. The tiles aren't grouted / bedded in well - so it looks like that job has suddenly become more urgent. The handyman was a bit unwell today - so I'm hoping he still comes tomorrow.
Hope you are having a good week where you are.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
