ooh Kaz I do envy you being able to go beachcombing after stormy weather.
yes, must have been side effects from the meds…just been to the loo again. I’ve given the aged ps my constipation medicine (which i did try to refuse when it was prescribed) as they’re both on exactly the same stuff so better than throwing it away.
My new diary was delivered last night so, at some point, i’ll write birthdays etc in it. i’ve ordered a handbag sized one for this year.
Thr forecast sunshine and clear skies are here, i’m lying in bed with a coffee now. I want to find my knitting notebook, i’ve a jumper (mine) and a tank top (gift) to finish and the urge to knit has returned but i need to know where I am.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hallooooo xx
Third time lucky I hope. My phone is playing silly beggars and I've lost my first two attempts midpost. Most frustrating.
Awwww thankyou asb and Fayolle - it's nice to be missed. Awww shucks. 😊. I've been reading along and loving the busyness of the thread, but I do so little flying on my work days that I felt a fraud posting, so I didn't. I'm happy to continue with my Groundhog Day posts next week if you don't mind them.
And today tis weeeeekeeeennnd woot woot. I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper and supped a brew. I've also emptied the bins in LR and kitchen, knotted the bags ready to go out, and put new bin bags in the bins...while the kettle was boiling.
Breakfast and brew 2 next. Then get dressed. And I'm posting this before I lose it again.
Love to all

Morning all.
DH left the house at 7.10 to go stewarding at the model railway show at the NEC (he *can* get up early when he is motivated by the thought of trains, of any size!!!) and was back again at 7.40, having forgotten to pick up his steward's badge. 'Nuff said.
Hope you get some rest today and feel better soon, Valli x
Warming vibes to YL x
Dizzy, cactus (as per pigpen's suggestion) or kick in the same area - or follow (I think it was) Kaz's example from a few year's back, and refuse to do anything for the offender x
ASB, I will join you on a low spend December. Having a large family, it is fortunate that I have been able to save all year for Christmas, and I stick to a strict budget per family group, but I need to plump up my savings with a view to replacing the flat roof next summer x
Kaz, enjoy your beachcombing but look out for the collapsed coastal road! x
Roundtuit, please keep posting daily, if you can. I always look out for yours x
I had toast and tea in bed, watching a glorious sunrise. We've had the first proper frost overnight, and there is still ice on the whirligig. I will give it another half-hour before I attempt to hang out WMx2 (already done and waiting) and do at least one other, depending on what I find in DH's room.
I have sanded down the filled holes in the wardrobe wall, but they need another application of Polly before I can paint over them. Downstairs needs hoovering and dusting, Rosie needs a walk, and then I want to get on with sorting the photos. First, shower and dress!
Have warm days - or hot drinks - everyone xxx

Dizzy, you already know that's unacceptable language, regardless of how much time you're spending earning a living. I'm absolutely enraged anyone has spoken to you like that. And people wonder why I'm a feminist.Tooch - it was around the West Hoe area if you're interested in supercars.Valli, this is probably teaching granny to suck eggs, but is your mother claiming Attendance Allowance? The forms can be a bit daunting but I'm happy to give you any help you might want having claimed it on behalf of both of my parents some years ago. There's also Carer's Allowance which I also claimed, which your father could probably claim. Sorry if talking about that is too personal.ASB I'll join too. Two breaks this year away from home have completely wiped out my savings and I need the cushion for emergencies, or more importantly - more hiking holidays. Many, many more hiking holidays.I've been experiencing leg muscle pain for over 30 years and I'm sick to death of it. I've consulted nurses, doctors, chiropractors and a physiotherapist and no-one has been able to suggest anything other than B12. I thought that, and taking electrolytes every day was the cure because while hiking Hadrian's Wall, despite doing up to 16 miles a day - no leg pain whatsoever, and that was without stretching. It's come back since and I now realise it's not a lack of something, it's an input problem, so to speak. The culprit/s are either chocolate or coffee - or both. Chocolate is definitely an issue and I think anything more than one mug of coffee a day is an issue. Apparently it's an auto-immune response, but that never crossed my mind which is why I've never been able to get to the bottom of it. 30 years of pain. Just wow. Devastated that I've got to seriously cut down or completely cut out the two foodstuffs I enjoy more than any other (also having given up booze and fags years ago) but hey ho, it'll be worth it to be painfree.Today I intend to go to the garden centre to get bags of FYM and/or horse pooh to shove on the areas of the garden that need it, and so that I can split the rhubarb and replant the (at least) three crowns. That's down to the Residents' Association so I will be spending money but it's not ultimately coming out of my meagre income.Belovéd is doing the vacuuming. I love Belovéd a lot.Better is good enough.12

We are in the process of applying - now we have a formal diagnosis we can action this stuff. Sis and I are sharing the load - she's applying for attendance allowance (and since mum cannot be left alone it's more than justified) and once we have that allowance I am to apply for a reduction in Council tax because, to get that she needs a diagnosis AND a benefit! She's now employing my eldest niece as support; said niece was supporting a very young man, with dementia - said young man has a child aged about 5 or 6 now - who has now had to go into a home for his own safety (he eats ANYTHING among other manifestations) and who actually has a 1-1 carer in the home. That's so sad...anyway my niece has experience in that area and was looking for a new role. Two birds and all that. And we are looking at carers. She has a good pension, though.
I've invited everyone round for tea tomorrow - thus ensuring DS spends some time with her and also making sure a decent meal is eaten. She eats well when out of the house.
The missing margarine has turned up (she lost it while dad was in hospital) in a drawer. Mouldy. Niece has thrown it.
I've pegged out the washing and eaten and feel slightly less grim...my tummy is not happy though and I'm contemplating taking anti-nausea meds to see if they help.
the neighbours have a Chrismas fair on - it's £28 to park but I can get a bus over there for £2 but DD says its only worth going if you want to buy gin and candles- well I'm not drinking (much) and candles set my asthma off so...no. Anyway I really don't want to be using portaloos

Round, whoever said that flying had to happen on work days, darn it! I knew that I was still a flylady apprentice after all these years for some reason. It’s a beautiful day here, very frosty first thing. I have spent the morning at the allotment shovelling 💩. I managed to lose my rake end in what is, errr, rather damp (but thankfully not smelly) 💩. Ho hum, there’s a mending job for DH 😈. I did retrieve the end, I hasten to add.Kaz, enjoy your beach combing. “Our” beach hut that we had every summer growing up in your neck of the woods disappeared in a storm many years ago.
Wm is running, hopefully I can get some of it onto the line for a couple of hours in a bit. I need to fill the green bin for next week’s collection, find the Christmas cards, sort the veg that we have just brought back from the allotment - celeriac, celery, spinach, carrots and purple sprouting.9 -
Chrimbo shopping almost done.. Spam, Fabian and DD2 left to sort and £100 left of my christmas savings.. I have no idea what to get them. I have Meems b-day on the 19th and we (us, many siblings, my mother etc) have *chipped in* to get DS1 and DIL a new, new cooker... ofc I have to organise this but they have a camping stove at the moment and we sourced them a freecycle frige freezer last week as well.. They deserve nice things and DS1 is a royal PITA so DIL deserves to be treated nicely in case she kicks him out lol.. She is lovely though. DIL has started an apprenticeship where she is earnign very little the next few months and DS1 is unreliable with work.. he is rarely out of work but changes jobs far too often because he has the attention span of a toddler! Supporting them as a family is how I can get them to accept help from extended family with the bigger things. I wish I was rich enough to get all of them everything they need.
Lunch and sorting swim bag next.. OH is doing dance class pick up and buying sandwich bits and pizza for tonight.. he is cooking.
Meat delivery arrived and has been separated and fridged/frozen.. We should have enough for a few months at least now. I got chicken and mince last month and turkey (for me) and pork this month.. OH is paid tomorrow so I am going to look at a monthly shop.. OR I am making him put money in a different account for use just on shopping to we can get a better idea of what is being spent each month because I think we are way too far over budget and it needs reining in.
I need to take some medication back to the pharmacy and see if they will swap it for the brand I usually get because I cannot swallow these ones.. they taste disgusting and they just won't go down.

One of my colleagues is visiting Valli's neighbours today. 😀
I've sploshed bleach down the loo. And I 'encouraged' DS to take a large bag of his stuff and his tent when he left....creating a tad more floor in my LR. 🙂 I'll start filling another bag for him now.
