Hi all...home after a boring week number crunching at work. I'm no better off than when I did cash in hand work and seem to always be exhausted and not at home during daylight hours. 2 hours driving each day on top of 9-5 M-F office job....Oh, and apparently it's still my job to run the house, cook, clean, do the laundry, feed the animals and all domestic chores and I've just been called a work-shy, lazy b.10

Dizzy What!!! I can't believe that anyone would say that to you, sending love and strength.
I have skimmed. Work has consumed me this week. I did manage to call and see the parents this afternoon and went to Li@l. I am at work again tomorrow and not looking forward to it.
Our oil tank needs a new base under it so DH is doing it rather than pay a builder. This means no central heating, probably for a couple of weeks. We are using electric heaters and stuff the cost, it means shutting ourselves in one room and keeping that room warm but we are surviving. I am feeling it more than DH.
Flying has been minimal but the house is not too bad.12 -
Dizzy.. I'd be using a few choice words and telling the person sat watching you run yourself ragged to strategically place a cactus and bounce! Cheeky blighter!
I'm thinking of having a cuppa and going to bed.

Dizzy…there are no words…well there are some but they’ll be subtly hidden behind various punctuation marks. Hope there’s been an apology.
Mum, who was not completely pleased about it beforehand is now delighted with the chiropodist so that’s good.
Ive cleaned my bedroom and tidied a bit. washing dried on line, towels airing on the maiden but i’m thrilled not to have used the TD

Morning all
YL - have you got a heated throw? They are absolutely wonderful. Also lots of hot water bottles. Leggings under fleecy PJ bottoms. Keep the stove going all night with coal. You’re a country lass, you know all this stuff already I know. Have a fab day, BE BRAVE xxx
Round - where are you chick?Iona and Valli - how are you both feeling? xx
Dizzy - I second Piggers suggestion which I am going to pinch for future use!-1 outside and a stunning frost (sending it your way @mumtoom@mumtoomany). 8 more hens going to pastures new this morning, that means I have lightened my load by 29 this week. Relieved. Still around 40 and way too many boys but it’s a start.Large parcel to drop off at PO and need fuel. Oh and crisps. Hoping for a relaxing afternoon.*I am thinking of starting a thread attempting a low spend December. Not easy when it’s the month of expectation to spend, spend, spend but it will be interesting, fun and may be a comfort to those who really want and need to be careful with their finances. Flylady thoughts would be appreciated before I dive in*Have fab days all xx12 -
Morning all.
Dizzy, I agree with what everyone else has said.
Valli and Iona, hope you're both feeling better today.
ASB, I am trying for a low spend December and am only sticking to those events etc I've already committed too. I'm determined not to be distracted. Yesterday I used a free £10 voucher from work to pay for stuff I need to decorate my Xmas cake. Used a discount code for Black Friday to make a Xmas day out with my DGDs cheaper. In fact two children and three adults now having a Xmas farm experience for only £17.10. I suppose I could have just arranged a visit to you!
Today DGD1 is here so just dailies, dog walk and playing here. Looking forward to watching Dr Who tonight.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.13 -

Rough night here with the weather, it seems the white horses didn't stay at sea, and have been driven by the wind to smash some beach huts up, the power of the sea last night by all accounts was hugh. Off down there once the tide goes out a little, wood collecting.Kitchen doneCats fedGarden looks wind swept, leaves all over the place, but everything seems in its place.
