Another blustery day here by the sounds of it. I’ve just taken DD a cuppa in bed. Inset day tomorrow thank goodness!Today in addition to paid stuff and animal jobs I must do a trip to the tip, and get some cash out. Hair washing will feature at some point too!The temperature is set to drop tonight, finally, I can’t wait for the ground to freeze, much better than mud! So the fire will be properly stocked up tonight.Have fab days all xx13 -

Morning all, first time I've been on this week! Not yet read back, so hope everyone is well/happy. Hugs, spoons and sticks being flung as I speak.
So far today, got three DGC up, washed, fed, dressed, and decluttered to breakfast club. Unloaded and reloaded the DW. Pegged out yesterday's washing and reloaded WM, for DD1. Cleared the kitchen of breakfast stuff. Not too bad for not yet nine O clock.
Next job is to worm the sheep, and mark them up with paint. They are going to stay with the rams tomorrow. Also need to try to finish filling another bed with rotted sheep poop. Four left to go. Should probably check the tunnel, see if it needs watering. Also found another bin liner of jumble, that needs going today. School run again at three, and need to feed them. Their mum and dad won't be back till late. Oh must remember beavers, for DGD1, too.
Busy day ahead, again. Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.13 -

Good morning, I've missed a day this week as I wasn't feeling too great yesterday but thankfully I'm now feeling better so must have been a 24 hour bug.
List for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Do paid work
Attend uni classes
Do some work on the uni assignment
Do required reading for uni
Submit expenses form for work-related travel.
Water the plants
Sort through the pile of papers in the living room
Dust the living room
Hoover the living room carpets
Empty all of the bins
Speak to DH regarding getting paint for the kitchen
Speak to DH regarding decluttering the kitchen.
Empty the crumb tray on the toaster (one of these little jobs that we never do)
Put Halloween decorations away that have just been sitting on a table since we took them down almost 3 weeks ago
Think that is everything that I need to try and tackle today. Hope everyone has a good Thursday, hugs to those who want/need them.13 -
We'll that was fun!!! All sheep now wormed, tags in, and painted. White sheep have a green stripe, black sheep have an orange stripe. I have green and orange paint over both hands, it won't wash off! Good job I made pastry yesterday, not today. The mud underfoot was terrible, OH went over once, I unusually managed to keep upright. @Asparklierblonde, if you get frost can you send it down this way please. All over is just mud. @pigpen, good luck to OH with his interview. And good luck on the new dog grooming venture @Dizzy_Imp. @toochoosey, we are just North of Carmarthen, so South Wales too.
Kettle just boiled, any one want one? Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.11 -
I will have one please @mumtoomany.
We have just invested in some electric netting to keep the sheep down the bottom of the field away from the muddiest bit, to give it a bit of a chance to recover. Also it means they won't be able to crowd into the feed shed with me!
I have never known mud like it. Even the pigs are fed up now!

Morning all. Yes please to a cuppa, @mumtoomany, if there's still one left in the pot
Many thanks for all GWS wishes and spoons. I am recovering slowly, but this bug seems to want to hang on in there, and I keep feeling nauseous. But silver lining and all that - I wanted to lose a pound this week and have actually lost four. Rosie is also a bit under the weather and refusing all suggestions of walks, which is most unusual for her, but it's a beautiful day here and I hope to persuade her to go out for a gentle constitutional before lunch.
DGD1+2 stayed overnight after their swimming lessons yesterday and have been absolutely golden. They pulled out the trundle bed yesterday, put it back this morning after stripping both beds, left the bathroom clean and tidy, made their own lunches, ate everything that was put in front of them, and were ready to leave for school on time - it's about 25 years since I last did a school run! I've told DS1 they can come back any time.
This morning I have S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom, made my bed, loaded and started the DW, also done WMx3 and hung out, and fielded umpteen messages from a young mum at church and a phonecall from a friend whose own mum is sadly nearing the end of her life. I need that walk with Rosie to clear my head. Then it's back to sorting photos (and maybe a few zzz after lunch).
(((Hugs))) to everyone in need, and GWS to all poorlies xxx10 -
Morning all, just. I hope your walk refreshes you Iona.
Today, I have done a work shift, dailies, dog walk, put dry washing away, put more on airer, hoovered through and checked budget ahead of payday. We should just scrape through December without touching savings.
I'm now going to do some knitting before more paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.13
