  • 0p. Not sure what I'll spend it all on, I don't want to go crazy with it. Oh too late!

Somehow £1.23 earnings, 0.41kWh, 41% better than similar. No idea how they calculated it - i'd only had my smart meter 5 days when it started.

    New today for 14 Dec.

    Earnings £1.20.  0.40 kwh.

100% better than similar households.  I live in a one bedroom flat.

I am all electric with economy 7.

My 3 kilowatt (living room) storage heater and my 1.5 Kilowatt (bedroom) storage heater are on for many hours during the night.  Plus i'm heating my hot water every day.

So during the winter months i am actually using between 20 to 30 Kilowatts each day.  So if they ever fancied doing a one off beat the peak at 5am i would probably make near £15.  😋

My present beat the peak strategy is to cook something between 5.30 - 6pm on non beat the peak days because i believe that particular half an hour has so far been in every beat the peak event.

I'd do the same but I'm simply not hungry at that time of day. I tend to cook between 8 and 9pm. I suppose I could switch the fishpond UV filter/pump off but I can't be bothered go outside to the garage in the cold, wet and dark twice in an evening to save 50p

Next one at 5-6pm tonight. Link from previous emails work.

I'm currently charging my car, and that would have been consuming 3kwh during that period tonight - will now unplug it :)
